I'm pretty good at it! Especially when using the oven... I don't use a pot holder nearly as much as I should.
Are you good at getting burned by the oven/stove?

I have several scars to prove how good I am . . . I guess I am just careless in the kitchen

It's funny you posted this. I almost burnt myself a few minutes ago!

I'm usually okay on the stove, but I graze my arms in the oven about once a week.

Always, when I make pizzas! They're tricky to get out of the top of our double-oven and I *always* burn my hand or arm.

I have a really bad scar on top of my right hand from being really stupid while baking brownies. Instead of pulling out the pan from the oven, like normal people would, I put my hand IN the oven to check if the brownies were done (using a toothpick).
I so smart.

I have this irrational fear of the handle flying off the oven door and one of my hands getting trapped in the oven. So I'm super paranoid about it and don't burn myself that much. But when I do, I do it thouroughly.

@banana: I bet there is totally an episode about that.

For the amount of time I spend in the kitchen, I don't get hurt nearly as much as I should. I recently grazed my hand on a hot pan with the burner turned off and had a nasty burn. That's about it. I've cut my hands twice but nothing that resulted in much blood. I have been pretty lucky.

I am AMAZING at it! Actually the oven scares the crap out of me and I hate using it because I burn myself so often. Normally if I'm cooking dinner, I will make DH get the stuff out of the oven for me if he's home

I try to be very careful too, I do get burns occasionally but not often

I have my fair share of cooking wounds, burns from stoves/ovens among them.

I would say no, but I've burned myself like 4-5 times in the last month. I blame mommybrain and trying to do 8 things at once

Yes. I live in a rental and have an Ikea oven the size of an easy bake oven. I hate it and I cook a ton. My 9x13 inch baking dish just barely fits in and I feel like I always graze my knuckles when I take it out. One of the things I miss about the US is having a HUGE oven/range.
