I'm the snot sucker in the family. My trick is to get a little saline solution up her nose first and then suck away. LO actually laughs after I do it so we never have an issue.

@mrbee: I don't spray it up her nose, I soak Q-tip and kinda dab it around her nostrils until the saline goes up her nostrils a bit.

that nose frida device is absolutely amazing. sucks up snot like nobody's business, and kinda astounding the size of snot that can come out of a baby's nose!! DH is the pro at it, but I've gotten better at it too.

I am good at the sucking part, but wrangling LO is what I have trouble with. I almost have to have him in a headlock, and after that I dont really have the mobility I need to do the wiggling!!

I actually didn't like the nose frida. I use one by a japanese brand (I believe) called pigeon. That works a lot better than me maybe because that was the first one I tried. I've gotten really good at it and LO actually likes getting his nose cleared with it.
