No we're not in our forever home now. We're going to be having LO #1 here and then we plan on moving to a bigger home in a year or a bit. We'll have the rest of our LOs there and we'll probably move to our forever home in 6-7 years.

Ditto! This will most likely be our forever home if we stick with just our two kids... IF (big IF) we have a 3rd, we don't know... probably move.

We will be here for awhile, but I'm hoping to make one more jump. Not necessarily a ton bigger, but into something more my style. More open floor plan, a better/larger backyard, bigger kitchen with more cabinets, non popcorn ceilings......master bathroom suite.

Ugh, not at all. I hate our 2 bedroom apartment The only things keeping me from demanding to move are that 1) I love DSs nursery and 2) we signed a two-year lease to lock in a great monthly rent. I wish I'd trusted my gut on agreeing to that when I wasn't super excited about the space. Oh well!

This could definitely be our forever home but we're not in our forever city. Maybe if we could transport our current home and neighbourhood to our dream city....

Nope. We built this house five years ago and it's just not big enough for us (3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths) particularly as dd gets bigger and more mobile. And the layout just isn't conducive to entertaining...so it's not really possible for us to host DH's but family for any holidays/meals, which sucks.
We'll probably move in the next 2-3 years to our forever home. Still haven't decided if we'll build again or buy in an older part of town and remodel.

Nope! Been renting and looking for our forever home for 5 years now!

Yes. But being on vacation and in a rental, I realize how cozy it can be to live in a smaller space. DD doesn't seem to mind at all and doesn't seem to miss all her toys. Living in such close quarters is kind of nice.

Nope, still in our starter home, probably for another few years yet. We are definitely at our max capacity in this house once #2 arrives, but I want to take a few years off from gestating anyway. I have no idea where our forever home is located yet, just hoping it isn't here in this state!

Yes! We love our house/lot and it will be paid off very soon. Even though it'd be nice to have an extra bedroom or two, it'll be nicer to not have a mortgage payment

Definitely not. We are currently looking to buy a bigger home and I would love for it to be our forever home because I hate moving. DH, on the other hand, likes change and thinks we should always strive to move to a bigger and better home as we get older.

I hope not. We live in a 2 bedroom apartment that we own, but with the cost of the average single family home in our city surpassing $1M we could be here indefinitely.

As seen in my other thread, we'll be putting an offer on it this week! I hope that it is 'forever' in the sense that we can raise our kids there and have plenty of space. I'm sure once our kids are off to college, things may change. Also, we've relocated 4 times and while we LOVE this area, never say never!

Yes. We lived in the tiniest little apartment for 3+ years and saved. Just bought our home this fall.

It could be our forever home if it needed to be, but I can see us moving to a larger home in the next 10 years or so. It's our "for a long time home"

Nope!! I don't even know if we're in our forever town We'll be here until my loans are paid down as long as my job is still ideal because I have it pretty good, but theres not a lot to do around here.

nope...we recently bought a 2-family home in a town we love with plans of moving in about 5 years or so and using it as an investment property. I am REALLY glad that we didn't jump the gun and buy our "forever home" as our first home because after buying a house and living in it, i have a specific list of things that our forever home will need to have.

I think we will be in it for a while...maybe 10-15 years? There are things I don't love about our house but the things I do love heavily outweigh the other things. If we were to move, it would be back to our home state and I don't see that happening for a while.

Yes! I don't know what the future holds but we bought a fixer upper and completely renovated it so we better be in this house for a long time! It's a 3 bedroom so definitely has enough room for us to raise a family.
