Twins run on DH's side of the family but not mine so with normal conception, it wouldn't be likely at all. But that being said, we are currently 4 weeks and 4 days pregnant today through IUI and clomid and are anxiously waiting the first ultrasound to find out if there's just a singleton in there or more.
Mostly I'm terrified at the thought of having two infants (or worse, two toddlers!) at the same time but there's a small part of me that kinda wants it to happen for some reason. Now I just need to get through this next week and a half without going insane from the anticipation!!

My grandfather is a fraternal twin as well. He didn't have twins. None of my cousins have twins (and they've all had children). So, I guess there is a chance that I could have twins. Plus I'm already in my 30's and that's supposed to increase chances too, right?

DH's great aunt and uncle are fraternal twins. I'm older, and apparently Black women have a higher than normal chance of having twins. I was surprised to read that.

We're probably not likely naturally, but if our fertility treatments results in twins, I'd be thrilled!

@cmbknyc: That's probably why I have two eggs at a time - I'm not terribly old (32) but have DOR so am kind of reaching the end of things.

@PurplePumps: I will be thrilled for twins, too, even if it is medically induced.

Twins run in DH's family (he's a fraternal twin with his sister) and we both have grandparents who were twins. He's hoping for twins one day but I would prefer one at a time!

Apparently my paternal grandfather was a fraternal twin and a paternal aunt had fraternal twins so there is definitely a good chance of us having twins. We both held our breath at our first appointment when they did an ultrasound because it definitely could have been twins. It was a single baby this time. We would be happy with twins (obviously) but the thought is scary, especially when you only plan for one baby!

We hope we don't have twins. My brothers are identical twins, but that should not increase my chances. I am almost 34 and 5'10 (I've read that being older, tall or heavy increases your chances.)

DH has a twin sister. I have a twin sister. Yeah, the first question we asked was at our ultrasound was "how many?"

Ours are IVF babies...nothing runs in the family! I can't imagine having another set of twins...OMG...love my babies more than life itself, but once was plenty!
