I don't know. I went a few weeks ago, and people with little kids looked miserable!! We are from Canada, so its pricey to get there, stay there, etc. so I don't know if it would be worth it!
When they are older then 10 I think it would be fun though.

Yup, we live 2 hours from DL so we have been a bunch. Ended up getting an annual pass this year because of how often we were going. His first time was 6 months old (and totally for me). Now he loves the characters. I am trying to plan our next trip.

Yes! We are less than an hour from Disney World and have annual passes. Her first trip will probably be right after she gets her first round of vaccinations!

Yep we go all the time. We are annual pass holders as well and live about an hour from disneyland. I am hoping to plan a family vacation to Florida so,e day so we can check out all the disney parks there too.

Yep. Disneyland is about 3 hours away. We're planning his first trip for this December when he'll be 14 months.

I went to Disney for the first time at age 32 but we'll take LO there earlier because my FIL and his family live near Disney. So we'll go when we visit them.

Yep! DH is so excited... probably in a few years when he can enjoy/remember!

We are only 15 minutes away and we still don't have annual passes and have never taken the kids. We don't think it's worth it until the kids are maybe at least 4?... it's so expensive!

@chopsuey119: haha, but even to bite the bullet for ourselves is up for debate! and for some reason i thought it was free for 2 and under, but that's good to know!! maybe we'll re-evaluate our decision but noelle is halfway to 3!
blogger / pomegranate / 3300 posts
It is 2 and under but that means the whole year they are 2, or until thy turn 3 they are free.

Definitely! We plan on making a DisneyLand trip next spring while E can walk/be excited and LO 2 can be carried easily.
pineapple / 12053 posts
Yep! We live about an hour away so once DD is old enough we'll go.

@chopsuey119: we are going to Disney world in October too!!
The kids I teach are performing there in October so DS wil get to go at 6months old! Lucky little man!

I would love to! We'll probably wait until both of our kids are old enough to enjoy themselves and to remember. I've never been so it'll be a huge trip for all of us!

I'm really looking forward to taking her to Disneyland. Not sure when though.

I would love to take my kids to Disney, as it's something my parents never did for us and I secretly still want to go! Not sure whether it'll be Paris or Florida but will probably wait until she's around 4 or 5.

We are pretty close to Disney so well hopefully go often. My bil is in Orlando so we will probably meet him and my niece.
We've been camping at Disney 3 times since lo was born, but still waiting for the parks until she's older.

both DH and I aren't super huge into Disney(I know, blasphemy!) so we said we won't take our kids until they ask to go, and hopefully that's closer to when they are like 10 haha
ETA: I've never been to Disney, and i'm ok with it

@Mrs. High Heels: @sarbear: Here! Here! We're relatively 'local' and I often get asked about when we're going to take our 2yo. I'd rather just go to the beach, frankly. He's going have to really want to go. For now he can live in blissful ignorance of the castle up the highway.
I might do Legoland eventually, though. (See, I'm not such a killjoy!) He's having a serious love affair with those plastic bricks!

Yes! Someday. My parents want to take her so, we will tag along.
wonderful clementine / 24134 posts
@honeybear: We grew up close to the parks and my mom convinced us for a while that "Downtown Disney" was the real disney because its free!! Plus you still can meet a lot of the characters.
pomelo / 5178 posts
Yes! We were planning on going this December since my husband had a work trip planned nearby, but his trip got cancelled so we're postponing Disney. We're planning on next December (Dec. 2014) to take the kids to DW. DD will be 4 1/2 and DS will be a couple months away from 3. We have a year and a half to plan, and I'm so excited!
We'll probably do DL sometime, too. My parents keep talking about taking my nephew, so we'll go too, whenever that pans out. It won't be as big of a trip, though, and we'll probably spend less time at the park.
wonderful clementine / 24134 posts
@honeybear: Plus we would ride the monorail train at the Orlando Airport over and over. Now you can't get that far to the gates but when we picked relatives up from the airport we would ride it like a rid.e

We're going to California in October and we're going to take LO to Disneyland! She'll only be 8 months but we think she'll still have fun and it'll make for great pictures!
GOLD / wonderful pomegranate / 28905 posts
We definitely want to!!! It won't happen till M is older so she can enjoy the experience but we will wait till #2 is around 3. So right before #2 turns 3 will be great so s/he can get in free!
@Mrs. Train: is that true for Disney World as well?
watermelon / 14206 posts
I took him to Magic Kingdom when we spent a summer in Florida when he was a few months shy of 4. My parents are taking him and my niece in March next year.

One day! Probably will wait till we have #2 and they are like 3.

Most definitely!
@Smurfette: My thoughts exactly, but hubby think we should take LO#1 when he's old enough and go again when LO#2 is old enough. I'm like that's expensive! haha! We'd love to take them on a Disney cruise in the future as well.

YES!!! It's my favorite place on earth. My family and I would drive down every March (we live in Canada so it was a long trek!) and stay there for 2 weeks. They are my favorite family memories.
I was actually crying yesterday when Ellen had Sophia Grace and Rosie go to Disney World. It made me think of taking our LOs and how I just can't wait!!

@Mrs. Train: @regberadaisy: yes, WDW 3 and under, last I knew - ) we also fudged my cousins and sister when they were 4, we said they were 3. We never had an issue..
pomegranate / 3244 posts
At some point. My brother and SIL live only about an hour away from Disney Land, so I imagine visits in the future with them and future kiddos!
