In Europe it happened last weekend! It feels glorious to get an "extra" hour of sleep. But yeah, it's dark before 5 now.

I'm looking forward to it, however my babies are already up at 6...the 5 am wake up could be rough! haha and the dark, i hate wasting all the good hours inside at work!

I despise DST. That "extra" hour of sleep almost never works out for me. And having it get dark so early in the evening just depresses me.

It just so happens that this week my 16 month old son has decided that a 4:30am wake-up time now works best for him.
...that 4:30am turning into 3:30am thing isn't really going to work for mama. I'm so exhausted already! I'm so jealous of all of you who actually gain an hour of sleep with DST!

not looking forward to or dreading it
I really don't enjoy waking up to darkness though!

Can't wait. We'll keep LO up late on Halloween and I expect she'll adjust pretty quickly. I'm so ready for it to not be pitch dark when I leave for work in the morning.

@LuLu Mom: I have been thinking about that... Do they really wake up an hour early? Do I move back bedtime??

@snowjewelz: Mine do, however with Halloween being a the night before, I think they will be up later anyways so hopefully they will sleep in. My baby though is so set in her schedule at home that I'm so worried she will try to go to sleep at 6 pm instead of 7! that's too early for us

I can't wait! DH and DS are having a really hard time getting up for work and day care while it's dark out.

This is our first year with a LO, and I totally didn't realize that "fall back" DST is worse for kids until a few weeks ago! Hoping for the best, expecting the worst.

@LuLu Mom: This is my first and she goes to bed typically between 7:30-8. Well, I guess we'll see what happens.....!

I'm excited because LO has been struggling with bedtime and not going down until 9:30-10, so I'm hoping the time change will result in him falling asleep at 8:30-9!

We just had it last weekend in the UK. The first day was not great and DS got up at 5.20 (we forgot to put him down later the night before!) - but he was already adjusted by the next morning
