No, she dumped me in college because I suck. Her mom had a stroke and I wasn't there for her. I was 8 hours away and had never dealt with severe medical stuff. After her initial refusal for help I didn't know to be there for her. I was caught up in my own 21 year old life. The next time I called she hung up on me. I think her mom had passed away at that point but I didn't hear until three years later. I've tried to apologize several times but she never talked to me after that. I don't even know if she got my letters and messages.

I don't think I really had a BFF in high school... There were really only two good friends that I stayed in touch with for quite some time afterwards. Unfortunately, we've since grown apart and are just on very different life paths. We're FB friends and casually talk there or via text every so often but that's it. It doesn't help that we don't live near one another either.
