Lol I was expecting your LO to be much older than 2 months when I opened this post! I'm starting to get the "are you still nursing?" qyestions now as we are close to 10months. I can sense the judgement/weirded out tones coming out soon from some of my family and friends.

Oh yeah, I got this from MIL allll the time...

Not really advice, but my dad (who, to be fair, is a farmer) asked if E was still "suckling".

Today at work a coworker brought in her 2.5 month old. Its super hot and humid here.. but an older co worker dude was shocked the baby didn't have socks on! lol

@Bookish: hahahaa, your dad sounds hilarious! At least he tries. Though what dad wants to think about his daughter having sex??? Eek.

I got a surprised/judgey "You're still nursing?!" from my grandma and an innocent "So when do you think you'll start weaning?" from others. My baby is only 6 months!

Pretty much every relative is disgusted that I am still nursing 2x a day at 16 months. Even my husband is pretty surprised but he tries to keep comments to a minimum, because he is a smart, smart man

@bookish: my grandma quizzes me constantly! P is nearly 13 months now but it started around the 6 week mark. I think she felt validated when nursing didn't work for me first time around with my son, she couldn't bf any of her 8 children!

My poor prudish dad has done very well coping with me nursing penny in front of him occasionally!

My mil, who I like very much, asked how long I was planning I nurse. I said at least a year, probably wean a little after that, and she looked really surprised. She tried to play it off but then said how it was "weird" when you see older toddlers still nursing- I let that one slide. But our parents just put us on regular milk when we stopped nursing, so when I pointed out I'd need to buy formula if we stop before a year she thought it made sense.

Ughhh, hate that! When I told my family I was pregnant, the second thing my brother asked was if I was going to breastfeed. Yeah, I shut that one down fast - I told him that my boobs were not something I was going to discuss with my brother.

People started asking me when F was about 5/6 months. My mom & aunt's big thing is that I'd "have" to stop when he got teeth, because it would hurt. 1) Don't tell me what I "have" to do! 2) You can keep breastfeeding even if the baby has teeth (he only bit down twice & we're still nursing. 3) Why do people care?! Does anyone go around saying "so are you still formula feeding?"
