Our movers were 6 hours late on Monday and ended up finishing at 10:30pm!
Earlier this morning I unpacked our last box! 
Our new place is finally organized and clean!
I can't stand having boxes laying around so I did my best to unpacked as quickly as possible. Finished in about 36 hours.
Not too bad, right?

I am! I can't figure out how people keep stuff in boxes for a few months. It drives me bananas!

Um, no. Unfortunately I am not. I unpack what I need and slowly do the rest. Eventually anything I seriously do not use (like childhood memorabilia) gets stacked away somewhere still in the boxes. I have boxes that I never unpacked when I moved out of my parents house 10 years ago LOL

Def. not! DH was that way which annoyed the piss out of me. Like really DH we've lived here 2 weeks cut me some slack!

Yes for the most part...when we moved in April, I unpacked almost everything within the first week. The rest of the boxes were filled with things that didn't have a place yet (books, baby stuff, etc) so those boxes got shoved into an empty room so I didn't have to look at them

I totally am. Drives DH crazy. I cant sit still until every box is unpacked and every picture is hung.

I unpack essentials immediately then slowly unpack the rest. it's hard finding a permanent home for everything. I probably moved my dishes and other kitchen things around at least 3 times before finding THE perfect spot for them (e.g. convenience while cooking, washing to storage, etc.).

I would love to say yes.... but i moved into DH's house 3 years ago and still have stuff in boxes! Whoops!

Not so much. We have a few boxes of stuff in our storage unit that are still packed from when we moved into our apartment about 16 months ago. Only about 3, but still.

I'm just like you. It took me a few days this past time because I was almost 8 months pregnant (34+w?) and MIL insisted I wait to do the kitchen til she could help (so nice!) but I did most of it within 24 hrs!

We moved last Monday and it's soo hard unpacking with a baby around. Now I'm sick too so I'm putting it off.
DH hasn't been around to help at all either. I also have a bad back so I can't lift heavy things. I have a pile of stuff for him to do that he hasn't done yet 
I hate having the house a mess and boxes everywhere but I just suck at getting down to doing it.

i wish. embarrassingly enough, we moved in here in june, and there are still piles of rubbermaids in the nursery that we have to go through. it's mostly attic stuff, but i just haven't felt like messing with it. now that we have to start the nursery, we need to finally go through it all, but... i don't wanna!

Nope. We moved when I was 8 1/2 months pregnant with LO..... and we still have some boxes! It's really because there's no place for the stuff so we just threw the boxes in a closet. One day I'm sure the things will just go to goodwill.... I just cant part with it yet.

yes i am, when DH and i moved into our condo i ended up two days off work to unpack and organize all the stuff...i cant live out of boxs or not knowing where stuff is at...i have since reorganized stuff for better fits...but...i love organizing...

Yes, I like unpacking after a move and finding a new "home" for everything!!
On the other hand, I HATE unpacking after a vacation! Sorting through laundry, dealing with all the toiletries and random souvenirs...

We moved on Monday and we are in box hell right now. I don't know how you unpacked that quickly! I was unpacking almost all day yesterday and I barely made a dent.

Depends on how well I organized before I packed.
It's the boxes that have random stuff in it that are always hard to unpack.

Before baby, I was definitely that type of person. After baby, it gets done when it gets done. We've been in this house for almost 2 months now and boxes are still piled up in the guest room. It doesn't help that DH was just gone for a 3 week training. Hopefully, we'll have everything unpacked soon!!

Yes, boxes drive me nuts!! I always put things away right away and then end up moving things once I get the flow down.

We move December 1st and I am totally the kind that unpacks right away! I'm trying to get it all done right away since I'm in my "energized" second trimester... take advantage of this extra energy and nesting instinct! =)

I can only unpack if I have specific well organized places to put things into. We moved into a much larger home this year so it's taken me a while to unpack some of the boxes as we waited for the appropriate storage solutions. All done now though!

Yes, I'm horrible. Poor fiance got to experience the wrath of my anal/compulsiveness firsthand when we moved in together a few years back... Oops.
