My office is closed but I am working anyway since I missed some time last week because the LO was sick so I have to catch up on my back log. How about you?

DH and I both have off. I love me some federal holidays! Sorry you have to work. I bet it will be a really productive day since no one else will be there!

We never get President's Day off!
Un-American! The only positive is that the subways won't be crowded.And what makes me more upset is that my husband is in bed sleeping right now. He has the entire week off!

the kids are out of school, but its a teacher workday for us. I'll be spending my day doing portfolios and cleaning the classroom.

Yes I'm at work. I'm only staying for two hours. My boss is at a tennis competition and the winter is a slow time in real estate, so there isn't much work.

Yes I am at work, but I dont mind. I've always worked on president's day so its not a big deal to me. Plus it makes for an easy monday when so many other people arent working.

Yes, we only get the "big" holidays off at my office, no government holidays for us. Makes me wish I worked at a bank sometimes

Yup. The only holidays we have off are 4th of July, Christmas and Thanksgiving. Some years he's feeling generous and gives us New Years off.
Funny thing is, every year employees ask "do we have {insert holiday} off?" Like they have no idea. One of the guys called my husband (his supervisor) last night to ask, and my husband said "no, but you're allowed to dress like Abe Lincoln if you want."

I have today off but my husband is working. That's pretty typical though since his job doesn't recognize weekends or holidays.

I'm working. we only get holidays off if we use our vacation time for them. if our shift falls on it, we have to work it.

I'm at work too! DH is not and I hate him. I think federal holidays are THE BEST and I wish we had them all off. Seriously, it's like another two weeks of vacation if you add them all up!
