Probably won't until she's old enough to want them and able to take care of them!

I don't have an LO yet, but I didn't get my ears pierced until I requested to have them done, so I'll probably do the same with my kids - wait until they want them done themselves.

No, but both grandmothers and my husband keep asking about it. Culturally, it would be the thing to do for us, but I think she should be older. My mother seems to forget that I had my ears pierced as a young child because I had asked for them (I was 5).

Not yet but I am thinking about getting it done after she has her vaccinations so that I can care for them. I had mine done when I was young and I think it was perfect. My cousin had it done when she was 7 and asked for them but she couldn't take care of them and the holes closed up. Now she wants to get them redone but is terrified of the pain.

Nope. I still don't know if I'm having a boy or a girl but if I have a girl she won't get them pierced until she asks AND she's old enough/responsible enough to care for them. I didn't get mine pierced until I was in the 5th grade.
