My parents are thin but they do not exercise. Their Drs. really want them to start doing more cardio and light weights...my parents are kinda resistant about it right now.

My mom is in amazing shape. She and I did a personal training session yesterday and she kicked my butt! My dad plays tennis, but definitely needs to work out more.

Not at all! Although my mom really does try to go to the gym/pool occasionally.

My mom is super active but not in the sense that she exercises... She is just busy all the time and barely eats! She is super thin.
My dad doesn't exercise (besides occasional golfing), but he's on a strict diet since he has high cholesterol.
They are more active if they're babysitting my dog since they have to walk her

Yep my dad golfs regularly and does all his yardwork, etc.
My mom goes to the gym for swimming and light cardio a few times a week!

They're very active. They golf 4-5 times a week, play tennis 2x week and they are very active in their community. Mom has always been a walker - 1-2 miles a day or so - and dad is always on the move.

Ha! Nope. My parents are overweight, hypertensive, and diabetic. And my dad smokes like a chimney. I bought my mom a Fitbit to get her to walk more, but she has a mental block against walking more than a mile. Even though she can walk further. And my dad prefers to sit and read the internet. Exercise was never important when I was growing up. My kids are going to be raised differently with better examples.

My mom is extremely active! My dad is less so... but he's getting up there in years, so it's totally understandable in my book!

More active than me sometimes, haha! My dad walks 50 miles a week, and my mom goes with him a lot of the time. They also ride bikes a lot. They weren't as active when I was growing up, but my dad replaced his smoking addiction with a walking addiction.

Yep. My mom goes to the gym like 6 days a week! My dad prob goes 3-4 times a week. They're both very fit and look years younger than they are.

Kind of. Mom goes to the gym sometimes and dad walks on his treadmill at home and lifts sometimes. They both are in bad health, though.

Yep, my dad is 67 and golfs every day. He even refuses to use a cart! My mom golfs a few times a week as well.

My dad is a busy body, so he's always doing stuff around the farm keeping him lean and fit. My mom, well the doctor told her she needs to lose weight and she's working on it, down 8 pounds in 2 weeks. She goes in spurts (like me) but her weight fluctuates a lot more than most peoples I feel like.

My mom takes a high speed walk every night after dinner!
My dad, not so much, but she drags him with her! He loves to golf... I can tell when he's been able to golf more because the size of his belly goes down. Haha. But he usually doesn't have the time, or extra funds!

My in-laws, absolutely. They are 5 times/week gym-goers and my MIL in particular never sits down. The woman has boundless energy and my husband and I always joke that she is never going to die.
My mom has always been in great shape. She used to run, and though she doesn't anymore she is still very active and looks very youthful for a 64 year old. My stepdad is overweight and incredibly lazy. He drives (!) to his card game three houses down. Seriously. He has also already had both knees replaced and has severe sleep apnea.
My dad and step-mom are long-time smokers with a very unhealthy diet. I worry about them a lot, but at least my dad rides his bike/takes walks around the neighborhood and has quit smoking (finally!!!). My step-mom, on the other hand, has so many health issues and is almost like an 80 year old woman to me (she's 60). She can barely walk from her hip replacement and seems to suffer some kind of injury like, every other month.

My mom walks their very energetic dog everyday, 30 minutes to an hour.... and you have to walk fast, this dog does not like slow. She was never super active, and I think this is a good amount of exercise for her. My dad is always doing things around the house, building, fixing, hauling, planting.... so he's pretty active. I've been on hikes with my parents and they keep up fine and go as far as my DH and I want to. They also eat pretty healthy so they are good as far as I'm concerned

My mom doesn't get enough exercise. She really likes to hike and tries to walk to stay in shape, but she doesn't push herself enough, in my opinion.
My dad is very consistent about walking every day. He tracks it with his fitbit. He is diabetic (he controls it well), so he has a lot of motivation. He worked out with a trainer for a while about a year ago, but he hasn't kept up with the strength training.
My mother-in-law is a runner. She usually just runs on her own, but she does 5, 8, or 10k races with her sister and my sister-in-law sometimes. She does an occasional half marathon as well.

My dad is not active at all but my mom is very active. She has picked up dance and tai chi in the last few years and goes a few times a week.

Active but could definitely be much more so. My dad gardens and golfs but doesn't do any strenuous exercise.
My mom does zumba and ballroom dance twice a week!

My parents run marathons. They are way more active/fit than I am. They have always been super active and pretty healthy.

My mom works out like crazy and my dad has a very physical job. They also hike and sail a lot.

Both my parents are avid golfers, so they walk a whole lot. They also discovered this Korean stretching routine that they do together every morning in front of their iPads. It's super cute.
But they don't do any weight-bearing exercises, which I wish they did. But they're in way better shape than they were 5-10 years ago, so I'm definitely glad for that.

My mom is very active; she walks for an hour at lunch every day, and runs a few times a week on top of that (she's more active than I am, by far....). My dad takes his dog for really long walks a couple of times a day. They both do a lot of yard work, too.

My mom works at a local university, so she and my dad have memberships to the on campus gym. They go several times a week. They do lots of other stuff, too.
My inlaws, not so much.

My parents walk several miles per day. They are also active around the house doing things.
