@Sams Mom: Eek!! That's so exciting. I read your other post about waking up and just knowing. I 100% believe that some people just know, as crazy as it sounds. With my last two pregnancies (including this recent one), I felt like I just KNEW "conception" had happened. When is your POAS date? In a couple of days since you are 8 dpo?

@SupernovaJ: I mean, I peed on a cheapie this morning, but I will test again Sunday, and then again Tuesday. My husband is very invested in this because his Semen Analysis is on Tuesday (12 dpo) and if I'm pregnant he doesn't have to do it.

@SupernovaJ: Lol. I've been trying to keep this board "alive" by being on as much as I can and by responding as much as I can when all of you ladies write. 🤔 I hope I don't seem to be a chatty board-hog . I don't wish for anyone to feel snubbed or as though no one is "there" for them.

@SupernovaJ: I’m sorry to hear about the chemical. I’ve never had one but I hope AF isn’t too bad. Wishing you lots of luck for September

Dear Lord! I want to eat ALL of the food (I'm blaming clomid for this, I think)

O, and yesterday I had to take my husband to the doctor because he had a 102.6°fever, achy joints, dizzy, headache, nausea and I thought he had somehow already got the flu. Well I tell him he's going to the doctor because he's being tamiflu before our son gets home (not that that would protect him since it had to incubate)...
Well we go to the doctor, they send him for blood and urine work up. Turns out he had blood in his urine, and it looks like he has an infection. The doctor thinks it's kidney stones + blockage + kidney infection, so they send him for an ultrasound. The ultrasound showed clear kidneys and bladder.
I told the doctor my DH had chronic prostate infection a couple years ago, but he hasn't had the same issues since. Turns out he had but had ignored it 🙄. Well, it's another chronic prostate infection... Which a side effect is male fertility issues.
I swear, if I had to do clomid for 6 months because he didn't want a finger up the butt (which he has to start soon because his grandpa and 3 uncles have had prostate cancer), I'm going to cut him!
End rant...
ETA: it's easily treated with antibiotics so it's much better than the flu or kidney stones & infection.

@Sams Mom: oh no!! Glad they found out what it was and that it’s easily treatable!

@Kaohinani: I always appreciate you keeping the board and HB in general alive. Without the POAS threads, some days there's not much of anything happening on here which makes me sad. But I digress...
I know these past few weeks I've needed some distractions from my own mess, and coming on the July & August POAS board was always a nice way to get reminders that eventually I'd be back in the game, too. And here I am for Sept.
So thanks

@Sams Mom: sorry abt your hubby. I think he was just scared and trying to deny it. Fear is quite a powerful motivator.
For my IUI, my DH was complaining about having to "have yet another orgasm" while watching porn in the other room of the clinic, meanwhile a bit later I lay with a maxed open speculum inside me (much larger than your routine pap smear...ouch) while being told to relax.
Oh men...They are a pain in the ass but we love them so dearly and deeply.
I think yesterday it hit my DH that we could be pregnant. I think he has always been a bit doubtful because the percentage of successful IUIs isn't so high, especially due to his lowish sperm count. But we shall see....8dpo. Am passed the halfway mark.
I have a good feeling abt this...

@Kaohinani: so has AF graced you with her presence or are you still dealing with the wonky

Sadly I think I’m having another CP. Todays line is lighter I think I’m done ttc at the moment ladies. I can’t take any more heartache.

@Jessiemuller88: the one from today (I'm assuming) isn't dry yet so it could look lighter than the older ones. Maybe check back after a couple hours?
grapefruit / 4144 posts
@Sams Mom: I believe it is an AF although some of my lab results came back. They ran a pregnancy test. I had very slightly elevated HCG levels which could have indicated a very early pregnancy. I asked not to know the numbers. I was 4 days late and I have been have having a wonky AF which ranges from spotting to so heavy I bleed through pads (* I'm only on CD2) with severe cramps radiating to my back. It would indicate that I may be having a very early CP but, since I refused to test, I didn't catch it. Which was good. Once again - Schrödinger's cat paradox has "kind of" saved me from becoming too invested. I am a bit bummed though. I found out late yesterday. I didn't want to bother anyone with it and I wanted to keep the board cheery.

@Jessiemuller88: I am so, so, SO SORRY, hun. . Sending hugs your way.
I may be joining you. I'm either not going to try next month or I may just "go with the flow." I can't emotionally do it any more either especially with all of my Clomid issues and the news I received last evening.
grapefruit / 4492 posts
@Kaohinani: you don't have to keep things to yourself just to not bother us!
We're here for you just as much as you are for us! Hugs

@Sams Mom: Thank you so much.
No, it is okay. I have been working hard to try and keep this sh*tty month on the "up-and-up" for everyone. I want to keep things positive because we are all in this together. Besides, until last evening, I didn't even know. I was blissfully ignorant. I'm upset, a bit depressed, but more than anything, I feel like I'm just not meant to have another and, maybe I should take a hint. I'm stubborn, though. I don't know if I'm going to try for September. I'm on the board but we will see. I've been doing this for so long, I'd feel lost not being TTC but, emotionally, I can't see another BFN OR go through THIS again. I'm at a crux.

@Kaohinani: I’m sorry you are having a tough time too. I’ve been really hoping you would get your BFP. I haven’t been trying as long as you, and I already feel completely drained from it. Hugs to you lady.
@Sams Mom: thanks for your support and optimism. They actually did dry a bit darker, but my wondfo are basically negative. At this point I have very little hope it’s a sticky bean. I’m still rooting for you this month!!!

@Jessiemuller88: Thank you.
I'm still holding out hope that your pregnancy may be early and your Wondfos are a crappy batch.

@Jessiemuller88: Hopeful that it is a good pregnancy. It does seem a little lighter in the Day 15 FRER. Maybe it's just a bad one.

@Jessiemuller88: I still have hope for this month for you. Have you considered a blood test? I have heard they are more precise.

@Jessiemuller88: I hope it turns out not to be a CP!!! *hugs*
@Kaohinani: I’m sorry about what you are going through. I agree that you shouldn’t worry about bothering us. We are here for you and each other through the ups and the downs!
It has been a strange and wonky month for so many of us. I’m beginning to think I didn’t ovulate when I thought i did because my temps are not staying elevated as they should be after O. I’ve had 4-5 days of almost positive OPKs. It’s really frustrating and I think timing will not work out again for this cycle.
clementine / 973 posts
@Wonderwoman: I appreciate your positivity! I am going on Monday to have blood work, but if it’s lighter tomorrow, I probably won’t bother with it since I know what is happening.
