Wow, I managed to stay away from HB all weekend, and missed so much. Still cheering on all the ladies in the TWW!!!
@pui: girl, you are just amazing with keeping the list at the top of the pages! Wouldn't this be a great HB feature, if the thread starter could sticky a post at the tops of all the pages, to make it a little easier on you. Appreciate all your hard work!
@sweetkeight: I really and truly your take on having hope. I'm going to keep that in mind, because I'd rather have a few hopeful days, even if they're going to end in disappointment, than not have any hope at all.

@MrsMcD: I am sorry friend. A May baby just sounds better then an April baby anyways! I am keeping my fingers crossed for your BPF next month! Enjoy a glass of wine- I will probably be joining you soon!

Hey guys,
Woah, this thread moves fast! I'll have to keep checking in more regularly.
I think I am finally in the TWW - I am only charting CM on FF at the moment, so I am unsure the exact day of O (or indeed if it actually happened, but I am presuming it did).
If I get a BFN this cycle, I am going to purchase a BBT - any recommendations for one?
I have to say this TTC is making me a little crazy - I am constantly thinking about CM (and googling it a bazillion times a day) and early symptoms.... I really need to get back to work!
Anyway, best of luck to everyone for the rest of the month!

Experienced charters - help?
FF is putting me at 5 dpo. (O'ing on the day of my first positive, based on temps.) I think the temp on the day of the first positive was a fluke, due to illness (which is what caused the pathetic BD amounts this time around... geez.) So, I think I'm only 3 dpo.
So now, I'm a bit confused - when to test and how to track dpo... I'm ok with BFN's, but I'm not even sure if I have any hope this time around. If I really did O when FF said I did, I've got slim chances.
Any charters care to chime in?

I have been charting off and on for a few months. It makes me crazy, but mostly just because I have such long cycles and my charting never corroborates my earlier hopes of O!
Anyway, it looks like maybe my "standard" O pattern is a big dip, followed by a slow increase in temps. That's what's happening now... Dare I hope? The app I use marks pink low bars as most fertile CM and gray as dry.
Am I crazy to get my hopes up?? The first image is this month's chart. The second one is last month, for comparison. At least this month I hadn't given up all hope on the cycle?!

@sweetkeight: looks like you O'd on CD18 and you BD'd on O-2, O-1, and O which I think is great!
Remember that a positive OPK means that you WILL BE ovulating in the next 24-48 hours. OPKs measure the surge in hormone, not whether or not you are ovulating in that moment. So on the day you actually ovulate (indicated by a confirmation spike in temps the next day), your OPK can be negative. This is exactly how my chart looked like, including positive / negative OPKs...and I'm currently KU. I think your chances are great!

Well, I've got an appointment with an RE September 10th. I could have probably gotten in earlier if it wasn't for DH's negligence... but it is what it is now.
They are going to do a blood test called an "Anti-Mullerian Hormone" test (AMH). (It is not covered under our healthcare... I have a feeling that is going to be a trend from now on.) Anyone ever hear of this test before?

@MrsMcD: @Claire.Peonies: As much as I love my HB friends, I'd rather not see either of you on the September board! But you know I'll be there if you are
bananas / 9229 posts
@sweetkeight: You've got great chances based on when you Oed - O-2, O-1 and O! If that one temp was a fluke, maybe try excluding it from FF to see if that changes your crosshairs? I think you Oed on CD17 or 18 so either way your BDing looks good.
bananas / 9229 posts
@tarabonno: It's hard for me to tell because there aren't any temps between CD31 and 38. Also, if you Oed on CD97 last time, this cycle would seem a lot earlier. How long are your cycles usually? Is there any reason for this (post-BC, PCOS, etc.)?

@CharityAnne: Woot woot!!!
blogger / cherry / 179 posts
Thanks everyone!!! I'm kind of in shock right now lol. I tested this morning as soon as I got up because AF never showed yesterday and I'm now 17 DPO, CD 33. Should I bother with getting an FRER or a digital? Or just consider this the only test needed?
cherry / 228 posts
@pui: I haven't heard of it... and every time you write these things I can't help but thinking that maybe you'll never even get there because this is your month!!
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
@CharityAnne: I don't think so, of course, it is fun to see the word "pregnant." So, I vote for DIGITAL!!!
cherry / 228 posts
@LindsayInNY: I'm a year post-BC and have had very wonky cycles. Past 4 were 37, 67, 111, and currently on 42. I have been taking Vitex to try to shorten them... so if it was earlier because of that, it would be great! I can't be totally sure that I ovulated last month either, I suppose. Guess I'm just getting desperate for something to cling to??

@T.H.O.U.: Thanks!
@tarabonno: Haha wouldn't that be great. Thanks!
I looked it up and apparently it is basically a more in depth test for PCOS (which my original doctor seems pretty convinced I do not have).
It also checks ovarian reserve and how "old" the eggs are.
