thoughts? we had a keyfit for LO #1, but will need a new one for #2.
I feel like the keyfit is comfier..seems more plush? padding on the b safe felt a little thin.
also playing into my decision - we will be looking for a double stroller. going between b-agile double (so, b safe..) or contours (keyfit).

I'm a Keyfit fan! My seat is in good condition and it doesn't expire until Dec 2016 so I hope a future LO can use it too!

@autumnlove: I loved the keyfit...but I'm reeeeally loving the britax b agile! lol. I have a city mini right now..but the city mini carseat adapter for the double stroller is awful. the b safe would click right into the britax double.. sigh.

No experience with the b safe but I loooovveee our Keyfit Magic version (well worth the extra 10$!)... I was super bummed that the uppababy mesa wasn't available in time but I'm convinced now I couldn't love anything more than our keyfit magic!

@sorrycharlie: so awful, I bought an adapter for my City Mini double and I returned it....I was embarrassed to use it! The double reclines flat so LO 2 started using it at 5 weeks.

This is going to sound snobby (I hope not) but it is my real opinion: I felt like the key fit was terrible quality in comparison to Britax. I mean there is just no comparison in quality IMO.

I loved the adapter for the single version. I know I could put baby #2 in there from an early age, but realistically...a sleeping baby kept in the carseat is SO much easier. lol. such a first world problem! (and, I recently sold my snap n go, convinced DH would never budge on a second).

@CupQuakeWalk: not snobby, but curious what you mean by quality - I checked them both out at BRU (and I used a keyfit with O) and felt like the b safe was really cheapish/thin padding?

@sorrycharlie: it just felt sturdier to me. I felt like it could take a beating (God forbid). I feel the same about their convertibles. I think the only seat I could get oter than Britax in my life would be Peg Perego. Comparable quality in my opinion.

We chose the b-safe car seat and b-agile stroller, personally. Just overall I liked them best after checking them out and reading a bunch of reviews.

We got the B-Safe because I knew I wanted a B-Agile. It's still in perfect condition for LO#2, which to me is a huge bonus. (But maybe you just need a new one because of age, not use?) I have heard that the Keyfit is easier to adjust, and the B-Safe can be annoying in that respect, but not enough to make me nix it as a choice. It's super easy to pop into a Britax stroller, and I like the way it snaps in on the sides, as opposed to the big bar that some strollers use to hold an infant car seat- that's great for the transitional time when you sometimes want to use it with a car seat and sometimes not.

We have the B-Safe because we knew we wanted a Britax stroller (we have the B-Ready). It is SOOOOO convenient to have a car seat than snaps in and out without having to have a converter.

I loved our B-Safe and B-Agile!! It was SO super easy and convenient to be able to click the seat into the Agile. The B-Safe doesn't have crazy thick padding but we trusted it when we took our 4 pounder home and he was nice and snug in there. Just wanted to add my $.02

@sorrycharlie: We had the B-Safe and currently have the B Agile Double stroller. LOVE both. Although, never used the B-Safes with the B Agile Double because I couldn't dock two infant seats at the same time on it (the joys of twins). I went back and forth between a Citi Mini Double and a B Agile Double. I definitely do not regret my decision. Plus, it's even cheaper off Amazon than at BuyBuy Baby.

I have the B-Safe and B-Agile and I love them. I didn't think I could be as into a stroller/car seat as I am but I'd recommend the travel system to anyone. It's so easy to put together, it's ridiculous.

those of you that used the b-safe.. this is going to sound so first world and dumb, but did your babies sleep ok in there? I know it can depend on the child as opposed to the carseat..but O slept pretty well in the keyfit (cushy and comfy?). I know babywear and bla bla bla..but let's be real, sometimes the carseat into the stroller is easier.

In my personal situation, I would have to go with the B-Safe. The Keyfit (and any other Chicco seat besides the booster) does not fit in my car. I wasn't impressed with what I saw in the store either. We ended up going for a Graco, but I think with #2 I want to get a B-safe.

No experience with the Keyfit, but we have the B-safe/B-Agile combo and LOVE it. LO is still totally comfy in the B-safe at 8 months, and it fits really well in any car we've tried it in.

I would choose the stroller first and then get the seat that works with it. IMO the stroller will be used so much longer so that's the big decision.
FWIW I have the contours options double (maxi cosi seat) and it's good but I would urge you to test it before buying.

@sorrycharlie: yep! trays are great, they keep the boys in when we don't buckle them in. they like to lean against the trays.
boys would sleep just fine in the b safes. only thing i noticed (maybe because i live in florida) is they would get a little hot in them. but that could be the case in any car seat, not just the b safe, especially in florida

I have the b-safe/b-agile combo and have no complaints. LO sleeps just fine in the carseat. And the lack of plushiness doesn't bother me. If anything, maybe it keeps her a little cooler in the carseat?

Baby isn't here yet, but I liked the B Agile stroller better. It was easier to collapse, lighter, and easier to click the pumpkin seat in and out.

@avivoca: What kind/size car do you have? I have a Honda Fit and I keep reading stuff that says infant car seats of all kinds do not fit well in them...

I'm apparently in the minority, but I far preferred the Chicco and the City Mini in the stores, so I was willing to deal with the adapter. I'm still really pleased with the decision a year and a half later.

@sharpie: I have a Nissan Versa. Nissan has tested all the carseats on the market for each vehicle and lets you know which ones fit rear and forward facing.

@sharpie: Don't know exactly how big your car is but you may want to go by which seat fits and work from there. DH has a hybrid with a small back seat and found that the Cybex Aton was one of the only seats that worked in his car. BBB is great with taking seats out to your car and trying them out for fit!
