Is the name Roy ready to make a comeback?! We like Roy, it's DH middle name, but it took awhile to grow on me. What do you think of the name Roy?

I dont dislike it. I think it could be cute depending on what you pair it with. You could always use something like Royce and use Roy as the nickname.
I would immediately assume that it was short for something though. If you don't mind that, then go for it!

I don't love or hate it. On a cute baby, I think it would be adorable!

It's a name I haven't heard or thought about in a very long time! But I think it could be cute.

I know a guy named Roy. I have always felt his parents didn't finish naming him. Who knows it could have been a nickname all this time. I don't love the name, but you have a positive connotation with the name.

like it! I don't think it needs to be a nick name. I've only ever heard it as a standalone name.

Don't love. It's a fine name, but I like things with a little more interest. I think it's a great middle name.

I love it!
I love one syllable names that are a bit different for boys.

Thanks you all for sharing your thoughts! You ladies are the best!!! We actually decided "for now" that we love it and it may be Roy Anthony. Its DH middle name and DH grandfathers first name so I feel it's fitting and super cute!!

I like it! We named our son Cliff. I love masculine, succinct, classic boy names and Roy fits that bill!

I like it- it makes me think of Roy Halladay who plays for the Phillies (my team). He's a total badass :).

I'm not in love with it, but that might be because I can hear all of my students saying it in an annoying voice (we just had a Roy graduate this year).
