I'm pronouncing Seren two different ways, both are very pretty. How do you pronounce it though? My first thought is Mikhail would be a cool middle name, but it's a boy name. Michaela or Nicole would work well too.

Ohhh! Seren is on our list with this baby, too. So pretty.

I agree with @travellingbee: Seren Lorelei is lovely.

Does it rhyme with Erin? If so, my middle name is unusual, it's Ryan, but I've always liked it and thought it flowed well. Seren is a beautiful name!

@youboots: Yeah - my immediate thought was Sarin gas too!

I normally love Grace as a middle name (obviously I like the name!) but Seren Grace sounds way too much like sarin gas.

I like it with sweet names like Olivia. Just nothing that sounds like gas.

I like Grace, Rose, Claire - something one syllable is what comes to mind first.

@oliviaoblivia: Oh no! One of the characters referred to her husband as her 'sun and stars' - seren means star, and ray reminds me of sun.

Ahhh Seren reminds me of a series of books that I love by Elizabeth Haydon . First one is called Rhapsody. Seren was the name of the main character's birth star, and was also used to name the island she came from (Serendair).

Another 'name' of sorts that I always liked from the series is Lirin. Also Aria, which meant "my guiding star" for them.

I don't know that I'd pick either of those for a middle name and I'm terrible with picking names out, so my post isn't much use lol. But I do puffy heart Seren.

I'm partial to Lorelai, but Seren is also so beautiful. I don't associate it with the gas at all. I think Seren Lorelai is beautiful. Here are a few others:
