oh my gosh YES. I remember the hiccups. I did not like them though, they felt so weird and were even slightly uncomfortable because he was head down.

I definitely would not worry about them!

I feel them all the time. Multiple times a day. I wouldn't worry about it. I've never heard that it meant they weren't getting enough oxygen. I figured it was from them practicing breathing or something.

My little one had hiccups all the time in utero. Now at 4weeks he still gets them a lot. ThEy are worse now though because he usually spits up with them

DS got the hiccups every.single.night during the second half of the third trimester. Always at the same time (whenever I was trying to fall asleep). I thought it was neat the first couple times, but man did it get old fast.

@mrsjyw: I read that too and asked my doctor about it. She said that's totally false and the hiccups are never anything to worry about. They are actually a sign that the baby's central nervous system is fully developed. I'm also in the camp that they were cute at first but they get a little annoying at 3am!!!

Baby hiccups are totally normal! My midwife was happy when I told her I'd been feeling them. Apparently it's a good sign that the baby is developing normally...the baby is preparing its lungs by swallowing amniotic fluid!
