My LO has been under the weather since Sunday...congestion, crusty eyes, decreased appetite, a cough, decreased playfulness, and high temperatures. Took her to the Dr on Monday and they said LO was sick but it should pass.
Today she only taken 1 ounce from a bottle and has nursed for 6 minutes total. Her temp is currently 101.3 and I'm worried she might be dehydrated. I just called the hospital and I left a message for an advice nurse.
Has your LO ever refused to nurse or drink from a bottle the whole day?

I'm sorry your LO is sick. I know that got to be hard and I don't look forward to that part of parenting at all. Poor baby! I just wanted to say good luck and I hope she starts feeling better soon!

I have found I have much better success nursing when my baby is very drowsy and mostly sleeping. This is one of the reasons we co-bed.
Call the nurse is definitely a good idea. I hope she feels better.

LO ended up nursing for 8 minutes before I put her down for the night. I finally spoke to a nurse and she asked me how many wet diapers LO produced yesterday...4. She said LO is prob fine but told me to call our regular dr in the morning.

Awww.... glad that your LO seems to be doing better. That would worry me too! Hopefully the doctor will have some good advice for you.

My niece didn't eat anything for almost an entire day when she was 10 months old. Sil put some sugar water on the tip of the bottle the following day and said it helped. Good luck! Hope te baby gets better soon

Darn it, LO has an infection in both ears and pneumonia! Argh, hopefully she feels better soon!

I had this happen once when DS had a couple teeth coming in. I spent quite a bit of time dripping milk from a bottle into his mouth b/c he wouldn't "drink". =/
Definitely hope she starts feeling better soon!
