There are a ton I love but we will never use because DH doesn't like them. For boys: Henry, Oliver, Theo, Harrison, Jackson, Everett, Ethan, Benjamin, Brandon...just to name a few!

For girls, I love Olivia, Sophia, Ava, Avery, and Emma, but feel like they're all way too popular now. I also really LOVE Audrey, which is also super popular--but we love it enough that we might end up using it anyway

I also really like Zoey (Dh doesn't) and Liam (but it seems very Irish, and we're not).

Girl:
Sophia - Too popular, and there was a girl DH had a crush on in hs by that name, so it would annoy me. Beautiful name though.
Isabella - Beautiful, but again, so popular.
Azmarie - Love it, DH vetoed it.
Nahla - Love it, DH thinks it would be weird for a Caucasian baby.

Boy:
Liam - Love it, too popular.
Forest - So cute, but I will forever hear "Run Forest, run!"
Silas - Love it, but it reminds me of that Sophia's annoying little brother...

I am having another girl so I only have girl names:
Taylor, Charlotte, Vivian/Vivienne, Colette, Quincie. They have mostly been vetoed by DH. Charlotte/Charlie has gotten too popular around me. And of course it is also a boy's name so there is double the chance that you hear people shouting it at the playground.

@autumnlove: me too!! Maybe by the time we have a 2nd boy (if we do), I'll have been able to convince DH Do you know if your LO #2 is a boy or a girl yet?

Names I loved for our first LO were Olivia, Josephine, Natalie, Avery, Evelyn, Ellie, Aerin, Lauren, Audrey, and Claire. I still like all of these names!

@tororojo: Definitely an idea! But I love the look and sound of a K first name, so I'm currently leaning towards replacing Kathryn with Kaelyn.

Leah or Leila. Hubby and I love a girl L name for some reason, but we have quite a few friends who's daughters first or middle names are Leah so that went out the door.

@Adira: I have a friend Kailen and I love it, but she also always has to spell it for people and she still has people call her Kaitlin. I think it is such a pretty name.

@Foodnerd81: haha, I actually liked Kaitlin (or Katelyn, or whatever) better than Kaelyn, but my husband HATES the name "Kate" so I was all "Okay, throw out the t and we've got Kaelyn!" I won't be surprised though if people always spell it wrong or mispronounce it. Oh well! Sorry kid!

My DH is anti anything that could be too trendy or anything he thinks is weird (normally what he thinks is weird is what i think of as normal) but I think growing up with his name Berthier, and no one being able to pronounce it .... he will only let me have boring names (Tom, Dave, Tim- etc...) I really love Theodore- but he just keeps saying no.... so sad!

i LOVE the name gemma for a girl! my husband is not into it at all though... if we ever have a girl i'm going to fight for it.

@zippylef: Aww Audrey and Charlotte sound so good together too! They both are really classic names.

@knittylady: I had a friend Brigid in high school (she claimed her parents misspelled it in the hospital). She had to spell it letter by letter all the time, and we pretty much said it exactly the same as Bridget. I think they sound mostly alike, but never thought too much about it.
