A few days late but just wanted to let the hive know Baby Shopaholic arrived on 3.6.13 (Wed.) at 8:38 a.m.!
(IG followers have seen some pics already.)

I'll write a birth story later, but basic deets:

Name: Kaitlyn Irene (Irene is my MIL's name). Means "pure" + "peace"
Birth Weight: 6 lbs 7 oz.
Length: 18" long

She is AMAZING!!! I'm so in love...

As I figured from all her u/s pics, girl LOVES to have her arms up and in her face! This is proving difficult so far with swaddling and feeding. She NEEDS to be swaddled but then goes nuts when she gets her arm out. DH and I need to learn to swaddle better like the nurses because she is not liking the swaddle pod or swaddlemes yet either. BFing is a challenge also, also because of the arm thing and my milk hasn't come in yet. As of Day Two, she's lost over 10% of her birth weight (down to 5lbs 11 oz.), but we've been improving on the BF today and minimally supplementing with formula.

No pics on the iPad so I will come add pics from my phone in a minute! Seriously in love with this girl...I don't know how I got to be so lucky to be her mama!
