We got a ton of hooded towels as gifts (including the PBK ones, I agree they are not that plush!) but after LO grew out of them, we started using regular towels and honestly it is better. I never used the hood part anyway. For our next LO, I'll probably just stick with normal towels.

@Foodnerd81: weird. My nurses said (as they were giving her a bath) not to worry about it. Admittedly it did take over two weeks for her cord to fall off. Maybe it is because it kept getting hydrated. Haha. But there were no problems with it, limited oozing, and zero smell which my friend said she had with her baby's cord.

@avivoca: thanks for the Thirsties wash cloth rec. I was going to get Ikea the Ikea washcloths because they have cute color handle loops, but the Thirsties look really nice.

I love the 3 sprouts towels. They are thick, soft, and large. We have 3 of them for DD. It's a great amount so that there is always a clean one.
