I love babywearing and swear by it. It isn't exactly the same thing, but my 20 month old does not like it if I'm not moving or if I have to sit or stoop to do something. Does she fuss even if you are moving or bouncing?

My son didn't like being worn until he could look out. He's never been a snuggly baby/kid and is super active.

My 8 week old seems to hate my solly baby wrap - if she's sleepy it's worked a couple times as has my boba carrier but I'm worried about the same thing. She twists and bonks her head against me in protest. I will keep trying periodically and maybe borrow an outward facing carrier when the time comes (and sell what I have if she still hates them). I will definitely wait to buy another type given her track record at the moment!

My son did not like his Boba after he was a teeny tiny baby - same thing - leans back, have to hold his head, which defeated the babywearing thing for me. We got the Ergo 360 when he was about 11 weeks and he was much happier once he could look out and tolerated being worn much more. He's a sweaty little guy so that might have been part of why he didn't like being worn so much.

My younger one is happy when she can look out but not so much when she can't. She often falls asleep in the wrap (not so much in the Tula) and then I can rest her head against me. But it is also a struggle to get her in - I definitely need to bounce and move or she's unhappy. Now that she is older her favorite carrier is actually the backpack style one because she has the best view from it

My first didn't like wearing until he could see out and face front. My second isn't fond of it, but adapts. He also likes to look out, but when tired enough will sleep in it. I've been wearing him since he was 8 lbs with an infant insert in my Tula.

It's possible she just doesn't like to be constrained. I've worn my DD since she was one month old, but she's sort of like that. Even now (15 months) she prefers a hip carry in a woven because it's much less constricting than a tummy to tummy carry in the Moby. I had the best luck by putting her in, then going outside immediately and walking around our backyard. Something about the breeze outside helped calm her down. Also, it seems counter-intuitive because I always wanted to wear one of my LOs when they were melting down, but at first I could only wear them when they were in a good mood. If they were tired or grouchy, wearing them was only going to exacerbate that. Now when they are grouchy I can throw them into the Tula but when they were little it would just make them grumpier. Can you try nursing or bottle feeding her while she's on you? That may relax her and get her feeling cozy in it. Good luck! DD fought it too here and there in the beginning... And she is an active/curious baby too, so facing in is really only when she's tired or needs a nap, otherwise she arches to look around too. So that's why I have an Ergo360, even though she won't forward face forever, it's worth it for us. She's been forward facing since 5 ish months till now, 8.5 months. I really need to practice hip carry and back carry!

Are you only trying at home or while you're out and about, too? DS1 lived attached to me for the first year of his life. At our house, walking, errands, other people's houses - he was on my body. DS2 will ONLY tolerate being worn when we are outside or running errands. Not in our house, not in other people's homes. He's been this way since day 1 and he's 19 months old now, lol.
