I love love love wearing my baby (13 months old). I have been back wearing him with my Becco, but he hast started to bite me! Hard! He's too young to talk to about it, but does anyone have any ideas?!? I don't want to stop wearing him, but I worry the whole time he's on my back that he's going to bite!

I would stop, for sure. If you couldn't get him to stop. That's old enough to understand the meaning of NO.

I think he's old enough to understand "no" and i would do my best to make him understand "that hurts" ect. and if he doesn't stop I would stop wearing him.

At that age I would try my best to not have an interesting reaction (as much as you can help--toddler bites hurt!!) and then try to have something distracting and fun available when he's not biting. Maybe a small toy he really likes. The big trick will be making sure that he doesn't connect biting with GETTING the toy. And you can also calmly get him out of the carrier, tell him, "You can't bite people," or something similar, and then let him try again when he's ready to not bite. And then make a big fuss over him when he's doing what you want him to do: save big exciting reactions for when he's being worn and is being gentle. Good luck. I've found biting phases pass pretty quickly if I don't make a big deal out of it.
Does he seem frustrated when he bites? Excited? Maybe if you can predict when he might bite you can re-direct before it happens.

@sarac: @LuLu Mom: when I tell him "no" he does his silent cry. The one with the big frown first and then the sound..... I feel like he doesn't mean to hurt me, he just can't remeber that it does hurt!
@Mrs. Twine: he's not frustrated, just exploring with his mouth. I can kind of tell when he's about to do it because he starts on my shirt first. Last time he did it I took him out and put him in the shopping cart. Unfortunately, he thought that was the bees knees..... -
@MamaBehr: Hm. So it seems like maybe he wants something he can safely explore with his mouth. Lorelei really liked that silicone banana toothbrush that's become so popular, and she liked Ellie's "chew tube" that came from the occupational therapist. Maybe try finding something that he can safely explore with his mouth and give it to him when you put him up. When Lorelei was smaller I used a pacifier clip to attach small toys to our wrap (it's even easier with a carrier). And then, too, if you feel him start to mouth your shirt, you can offer the safe toy and tell him that it's something that's fine to bite. I wouldn't even mention the not biting people if you can easily and successfully redirect this way. Definitely try to steer away from giving a positive reinforcer (like moving him to the cart when he bites if he likes that) after biting if you can.

Have you tried wearing chew beads around your neck? I wear them when I wear my LOs and it gives them something to chew on and play with that's not my hair/ears/bra straps, etc. my kids are younger and in the teething phase so I thread a teether through the strand of beads. Maybe you could find something fun to loop through the beads that would keep him occupied and provide a place for his mouth should he feel like biting.
ETA: my beads are colorful and have a rubbery texture, so it keeps them well occupied!

@twodoghouse: I have a teething necklace that I wear when I'm carrying him on the front, but I never thought about wearing it while he was on my back. Good idea! I'll try this one too.
