DH's good friend is getting married this fall and he has a Thursday-Monday bachelor party planned. I want DH to leave a little later...maybe Fri night or Saturday morning. It will be hard for me to juggle everything with work and the two kids.

Dood. Those guys DO NOT need to spend that many days in Vegas. Have your DH leave on Saturday!

Our friend is getting married across the country when LO will be less than 2 months old. I'm not going but DH is planning to. He was talking about how long to stay and I had to say he couldn't stay very long-- some of the guys are talking about like, 5 days! I think 3 will be plenty for me to be home alone with a less than 2 month old. I don't really feel bad, either-- it's his baby too!

I wouldn't. DH doesn't get to go on many mancations and he deserves a getaway just as much as the next guy. On the same token, he would never ask me to shorten a bachelorette party or girl's trip. I'd be jealous, sure, but I'd sacrifice a few days so that he could relax and have fun!

DH hasn't ever tried to go on a trip that long, but if he did I would so ask him to shorten it!

I've never asked DH to shorten a trip. He's actually going to Vegas for a bachelor party Thursday to Monday and I WANT him to go and have fun with the boys. But that's also because I know I can handle LO alone (its harder but manageable). DD is five months old now but DH has been away two weeks at a time for work (twice) since DD was 8 weeks old so a long weekend is nothing to me. But I'm sure it's much harder with TWO kids!

My friend recently had a bachelorette party. It was supposed to be an all weekend thing including sleep overs. But it was local so I could pick and choose what I wanted to go to. I went Friday night from 6-9 and Saturday from 1 (lo's nap time) to 10. I hope dh would do the same type of thing for me and leave early or go late. I feel like they'd understand, especially if you have two kids at home.
