Did you hear this a lot? My dad always reminded me to be nice to my mom...especially in my junior and high school days!

Nope! Both of my parents were really strict and tag teamed.

I was a brat in high school, but I don't rememebr ever "really" disrespecting my parents. I knew better than that! But I remember once after my grandpa died, my dad told me to be nice to my mom (I came home WAY late for curfew and had been drinking which he said added stress to my mom...I'm sure it did but I was a self-centered teenager.)

My baby sister is 14 ... My parents were married when I was growing up, but since then, they've gotten divorced.
I hear snippets of her 14 y/o attitude popping up from time to time, so when we chat, I generally remind her to be nice to our parents.
Personally, I loved being around my parents (I was an only child until I was 13), so I didn't really mouth-off or have a reason to.

Oh yes. A majority of the time I was in trouble by my Dad was because I was being sassy to my Mom. He was very serious about making sure I was nice to her!
