@Mrs Hedgehog: let them watch videos/play with my iphone. Hahaha! To be fair though I try and limit it to on the plane or as a very last resort at restaurants.

I didn't want to do character clothing but she LOVES her princess tees and dresses, and it makes getting dressed so much easier. I did try to avoid the character bedding though so she only has ONE Frozen pillowcase lol. The rest of it is just coordinating colors/patterns

Electronics at restaurants and places like that...and until my 3rd LO I never had to use it but dear god it's a must if I want to go anywhere with my littlest LO lol

On demand nursing. I thought I'd be more of a "schedule" mom but it definitely didn't work out that way.

Extended breastfeeding.

Giving her snacks to keep her happy when we're out and about.

Haven't actually gotten one yet (DH keeps vetoing), but using a toddler leash.

I swore I'd never have a child over 1 year with a pacifier or millions of them in their crib, yeah..... she's 18 months and still needs a pacifier to sleep! There's like 10 in her crib.

@abbydabbydoodlebug: We said the same thing... We actually got rid of it at 12 months, but then had to give it back because she was having some anxiety issues and it was a much cheaper/easier solution for us. We finally got rid of it a couple months before she turned 3

I swore LO would not be into princesses. I was so wrong.

@Mae: same here. A cup of juice prevents major constipation for DD1. it kills me when she asks for it in public.

Most of mine are tied to her being a preemie. I planned to absolutely veto supplementing with formula until my milk came in (as long as it came in normally), no pacifier or bottles to avoid nipple confusion when she was tiny, etc. But she was losing too much weight and needed the formula (we still fortify her breastmilk bottles for extra calories), she was too small to nurse well so had to have bottles, and they said the pacifier would encourage her to learn to suck (she struggled with even bottles at first, not just the boob). Hopefully soon we'll be able to get back to the original plan of just breastfeeding.

We are the same with character stuff! I just didn't get it!

I have a brother with ADHD, and thus I was so (vocally, publicly) against any TV/movies before age 2. Then... she started teething and got sick and was inconsolable until I tried an episode of Daniel Tiger. Now at almost 1 year, we watch an episode or 2 of Sofia the First each week.

Ha! So much. Electronics when we're out, especially at a restaurant, is the big one. Juice is another one. Using the big "car cart" at the grocery store.

Not sure where to start. Juice (I try to restrict it to half a cup in the morning), TV before age 2 (we didn't do horribly but there were plenty of exceptions and more now that he is almost 3), extended breastfeeding (which I'm glad i did), bribery in any form.

Plenty of others. Just can't think of them now.

I think I'm a pretty great mom, but barring a few absolutes, there's nothing I won't do now.

I try to weigh my preference (no character clothing) with his (OMG Lightning McQueen). Right now it's restricted to undies and a few t-shirts.

Diluted juice. Grilled chicken nuggets. PBS shows.

I would never tolerate the crazy meltdown at the grocery store. Yeah, I totally walked about the grocery store while N melted down about fruit snacks that didn't hop into our basket. This momma needed to finish shopping and he needs to learn just because he wants it doesn't mean he gets it.
