I only have 1 LO but I already regret pushing off some tasks that I could have done before she was born!

We moved right before (moved in week of EDD) an am so glad we moved before DS arrived, not just because of packing and unpacking but because we spent every Saturday for months going to viewings to find the right house and I'd hate to have to lug DS around for numerous appointments. Can just picture myself having to nurse in some strangers house!

Also, not sure how my severely reduced brain capacity from hormones and lack of sleep would have affected the packing...

Personally I would move after. When I move into a new place it takes me a while to get everything to be as clean as I would like it to be with all the unpacking etc and I wouldnt want to be in a new place with a new baby.

I agree with the others in that moving before baby #2 would probably be best. It'd be a bigger hassle juggling two kids while trying to pack, move, and unpack.

I'd hire people to move all my crap for me!

Would the houses be the same size? And does the baby have her own room in your current house, would she in the new house? If it's all going to be the same set up, just closer to where you need to live, I would say now. That way you can set up the baby's room how you want it now and now feel like you are setting stuff up, only to undo it later on. Plus I do think moving would be a lot easier now than later. New stuff you get for the baby can just go right to the new place, no need to pack it and move it later, too.
But, if the new place is going to be a lot more expensive or something, I could see waiting a bit to save a little more money, etc.

I vote to get it over with!

@chopsuey119: I'd move now then-- the stairs alone would be enough of an encouragement I think.

I'm glad to see someone else who sees the benefits of renting! My sister is in the process of selling one place and trying to buy another and it makes me glad I'm a renter and can move when I want to. Even if it means I can't paint or fix things up exactly how I want, it works for us right now.
