So, the other day, I mentioned to a male friend (whose wife is going to have a baby) the idea of a push present (I know some don't like/want it, but I think it's a cute and sweet idea). He didn't know what it was so I said, "Oh, you know. It's a small gift you might want to give your wife for her hard work carrying the baby! It'll be so sweet!" Well, he was SO offended by this! He said. "Why should I gift her for doing something only women can do?"
Whhaaat?
Anyway, I was, in turn, offended by his comment that I just ended the conversation.
Was I out of line to suggest a push present?
