Baby boy is 6.5 months. He has been rolling over every night for the past week. He also has been fighting going to bed. Tonight after an hour of trying to get him to sleep he was lying on his side, crying and I'm shushing him and patting his back. For some reason I decide to roll him from his side to his belly and he instantly falls asleep.
Of course now I'm freaking. When did you start putting your baby to sleep on their belly??

M started doing this at 5 mo and instead of constantly fighting it, I let it happen - it's how she wanted to sleep and the dr said it was fine. I was very worried when it started happening but realized it was how she was most comfortable and she was fine.

My kid started rolling to his belly at 4 months. I worried, but my pediatrician said if he could get there then he was fine with it. We did stop swaddling and removed everything from the crib (no bumpers, blankets, toys.). It was some great sleep for us for a long time! At 14 months he decided to become a back sleeper again

She started rolling on to her side to sleep at 5 months, full belly sleeping by 5.5. She sleeps so much better that way and rolls all around so it's useless to try and change it. She is almost 8 months. Ped said it was fine once she was able to do it herself.

DS started rolling to his tummy to sleep around 5-5.5 months. (We had swaddled/Merlin Suit weaned at 4 months when we sleep trained.) I freaked out the first few nights but I got over it eventually. At 9.5 months I still put him on his back to sleep, but he rolls to his side/back immediately.

5-6 months. once they can move themselves how they want, sleep position is really in their hands!

4-5 months he could roll to his belly. Once they can get there themselves by rolling they are allowed to sleep on their belly. Don't freak out

Since he was born. Ya... I'm that mom. It's the only way he will sleep at all. It puts a little pressure on his colicky belly. But he does have a head roll that prevents him from moving his head. Idk, it works for us.

As soon as she could roll on her own... so it was before she was 6 months old. The risk of SIDS greatly decreases after 6 months of age, so I wouldn't be too worried and just enjoy the sleep.

E just started rolling to his belly so he's been belly sleeping for a week now at 6 months 3 weeks. When I set him down on his back he instantly goes to his side, and eventually his belly.
I worried too and even caught him sleeping face-down a few times but he always moved his head on his own.

@josina: yeah I made my partner go check on him a bunch last night and he was face down a couple of times. We turned his head to the side. 
hopefully I can get used to it and stop worrying
