I know they are OK to take...are they OK to take every night? I just can't sleep.

I would ask your doctor. I was told taking too much tylenol could make the baby addicted.

Yeah I would definitely check with your doctor. And ask about possibly switching to unisom. That way you are only getting the sleep aid and not the additional medicine that you don't actually need. I know my doc was ok with unisom every day but I was taking it for morning sickness so check with your doc before you start it.

I agree with pps . . . definitely check with your Doc! Another consideration for taking medications daily is what is called the rebound effect, i.e., taking a medication as a sedative with long-term use could actually cause agitation instead of relaxation/drowsiness.

Definitely ask your doctor; I was on Unisom for a good part of my last pregnancy, and my doctor said that's generally safe to use on a regular basis, although drugs might not be.

I'm interested in this too. I'm not breastfeeding anymore, but I definitely take "pm" pills more nights than not...

I did call the doc, but she's not in today (or yesterday obviously!) Has anyone asked their docto?
