Hellobee Boards

I live in a suburb outside of DC, on the VA side. I think it's a great place to raise a child. We have access to everything in DC and there is a lot of history in VA as well. I think there are a lot of advantages living near a big city.

I grew up in one of the bottom five states and we are now raising our kids in one of the top five states. Honestly, the family-friendly atmosphere was one of our biggest reasons for moving here. We really want to raise our kids in a safe, child-focused environment.

I'm in CT now and agree that it's a nice place to raise a family. However, the economic divide makes me really sad, even though it's a part of life in most parts of the country. Maybe it's just more pronounced in my part of the state since it's NYC suburbs territory?
