Can you recommend a good baby monitor. A friend of mine recommended the Summer Infant Slim & Secure Handheld Video Monitor, but I find it really expensive, so I am hoping to find a cheaper one.

@PurpleUnicorn: I'm not sure if you are only looking for a video monitor but I love the one I'm using! A friend let me borrow her Angelcare monitor. I absolutely love it and it sounds great, no static! It beeps if there isn't any movement which is comforting for me

I'm no help, I had the cheaper version of the one your friend suggested (which is now discontinued). When we had a second we bought the same monitor, used, so we could have two cameras and two handheld units. Then we got a surprise registry gift-- pretty much the most expensive video monitor out there!! But I absolutely love it.
