We are getting ready for our monthly library run and I need some new (off the beaten path) book ideas. We've done all the classics/popular books, so now I need some new ideas. She does seem to like books that have a lead character where we can pick out a new one. We just got done with most of the Pinkalicious books, she enjoyed those. Any other similar along those lines? She's really into Princesses too, but we've done all the Disney books.

My 26 month old is just getting into Dr. Suess books. He also loves the Daniel Tiger books (because he loves the show) and he will even sit still for quite a while listening to the Frog & Toad stories. This one doesn't have words, but is a huge favorite:

E's current favorite book is Peanut Butter and Jellyfishes.

A little different, but my 2.5 year old loves the My First Little House series, based on the Laura Ingall's Wilder books. Our library had a few of them, they are set up as seasonal books though, so now We own one or two for each season.
