I have a gemini. and an ergo 360.. Gemini does seem more breathable, but when it's reaaaally hot/humid out I don't know if it'll fare any better. The babywearing group I belong to LOVES the Connecta Solar Weave... Super light weight. But it's hard to find online and I believe most ship from the UK.

I just used my becco Gemini for the first time (albeit M is 18 days old), and it's 90 degrees outside. It has good airflow, by my chest was starting to get a bit sweaty where her head and hair were laying. I also had the headrest all the way up, so I'm sure that contributed to it. But, I like it so far!

I am curious too! DS due in August. We live in south Florida so it's hot year round. I registered for a K'Tan to use when he's little but I'd like to get a soft structured carrier for when he gets bigger.

I am looking at the Ergo Performance, has anyone ever tried it out? It looks like instead of the thick fabric, it's like a mesh so you get airflow. http://store.ergobaby.com/baby-carrier/performance-collection/ventus-graphite

I have looked at regular carriers (Ergo, bjorn, whatever) and I seriously cannot imagine using ANY of them here - me and the baby would both have a heatstroke!

I'd give your sling a serious shot! I've tried: Moby, ring sling, mei tie (sp?), woven wrap, and tula. My ring sling is by far the coolest option. And mostly my favorite way to wear LO because it is so easy. I'm using my tula a bit more now because I have to have LO on my back to really get anything done (like house work), but any time LO can be on my hip that is my hands down preference for coolness and comfort (and her favorite too I think).

I love ring slings for any age, but that age specifically! Only 1 layer of fabric so it stays light and it is super easy to pop them in and out of carries. I used my Ergo today for the first time in months and put it right back in my car LOL, I think I could easily sell off all of my wraps/carriers except for a couple ring slings and be a happy Mommy.
