My MIL makes the BEST chocolate chip cookies...she makes the classic Nestlé chocolate chip cookies but only bakes them for 7 minutes.

@lovehoneybee: Last summer I made it my mission to find the best chocolate chip cookie recipe. I made about a dozen different recipes, this one is BY FAR the best and my husband agrees!
I haven't made it with the walnuts, they usually take about 12 minutes for me, but obviously differs by oven.
Yummmm, I bought some chocolate chips yesterday, perhaps I will bake some as well.
Good luck!!

I do the one on the back of Nestle as well BUT I use salted butter, no vanilla and the flour goes in last. Fold, don't mix. 9 minutes.

I love these Cinnamon Chocolate Chip Cookies
1 cup butter shortening
1-1/2 cup brown sugar
1 egg
2 t vanilla
2 cup flour
1 t baking soda
1 t cinnamon
1 t ginger
1/2 t salt
12 oz choc chips
1 c pecans/chopped nuts (optional)
Chill dough for at least an hour. Roll in walnut sized balls in powdered sugar. Bake at 375 for 10mins. Mmmmm.

I use the Tollhouse recipe, without walnuts. So good, every time. Use a little less flour or under bake a little if you like chewy, gooey cookies.

The New York Times recipe is my favorite. People have asked to pay me to make them cookies.

Best one I've found on Pinterest that doesn't require advanced prep:

@Mrs. Oatmeal: my mom uses the same but uses crisco instead of butter. So good.

OMG OMG these cookies are the holy grail of warm cookie with milk heaven! I ate so many when I was pregnant. But I sprinkle a little coarse salt over mine before baking.

Thanks everyone!

@lovehoneybee: @Mrs. Oatmeal: @lamariniere: My favorite thing is they are SO EASY! Just one mixing bowl needed & they're quick to mix up. I usually just use chocolate chips so I don't have to chop up a bar.

I think I have made each of these cookie recipes at some time or another lol! All delicious. I like to take a small bar of chocolate, chop it thin into slivers, and incorporate that. I like having thin chocolate flakes everywhere in my cookie

I love this recipe. And this is obviously not good for speed, but honestly the wait time is key. If you can let the dough refrigerate for a day, it totally makes a difference. I was skeptical but I'm a convert! http://www.slate.com/blogs/browbeat/2014/03/21/best_chocolate_chip_cookie_recipe_an_updated_toll_house_cookie_with_sea.html

I'm giving the SK ones a go right now! They have about 5 more minutes left to bake in the oven - can't wait to try them!
