My mom gave me this recipe and I make it every year. The first year I did it for cookie exchange. Since then I just put them out as treats.

HOLIDAY TREASURE COOKIES
Prep. 15' Bake 7-9 min.

1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1/2 all-purpose flour
1t baking powder
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened
1 can (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk
(not evaporated)
1 1/3 cups coconut flakes
1 3/4 cups (10 oz.) mini kisses or semi-sweet chocolate baking pieces
1 cup holiday bits (I used M&Ms)

1. Heat oven to 375 degrees. Stir together graham cracker crumbs, flour, and baking powder* in small bowl. Set aside.
2. Beat condensed milk and butter smooth; add reserved crumb mixture, mixing well. Stir in coconut flakes, mini kisses, and holiday bits. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
3. Bake 7 to 9 minutes until lightly browned. Cool 1 minute, remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Cool completely. Store tightly covered at room temperature.

Makes about 4 1/2 dozen cookies.

Do you add any oil to the chocolate when melting?

@Mamaof2: what @LindsayInNY: said. I melt it really slow and stir often, otherwise parts will over cook and some won't be melted yet.

I don't have the recipe on hand but I LOVE IT when people make that thing with saltines underneath and dark chocolate spread on top. It's the ultimate sweet/salty combo!!!

I recently made this one for a cookie swap on Saturday, they were delicious and I was super shocked. The middle was all fudgy and delicious. I picked up a ton of cake mix to make for my coworkers and some family friends over the Christmas holiday:

What You’ll Need:
1 box Betty Crocker Chocolate Fudge Cake Mix {15.25 oz.}
1 bag Red and Green M&M’s Minis Baking Bits {11 oz.}
1/2 cup Vegetable or Canola Oil
2 eggs

What You’ll Do:

Combine cake mix, eggs, and oil in large mixing bowl, and beat well.
Stir in M&M’s
Chill dough in refrigerator for 20 minutes
Drop onto ungreased non-stick cookie sheet in rounded balls.
Bake for approx. 8 – 9 minutes {or until done} at 350 degrees.
ENJOY!!

Snickers Popcorn - kind of a PITA if you don't have a roasting pan, but you could split it between two rimmed baking sheets.

Oreo "truffles" are also a super easy hit. Take a full package of regular Oreos and either put them in a food processor or double bag them in zip locks and have your kids beat the crud out of them. Mix the crumbs with 1 brick of cream cheese, then form into balls. Dip in melted chocolate, let dry, and voila! Most awesome truffles ever.

@sweetpea612: Sooo easy...2 ritz crackers spread peanut butter in between to make a little sandwich. Dip in melted chocolate, set in parchment paper to dry.. Repeat until you have as many as you want. Boom, done! If you wanna get even more fancy you can add sprinkles, sea salt, or whatever tickles your fancy on top.

You could bring slices of Gooey Butter Cake and call them cookie bars
