I have managed to catch a summer cold. I don't get sick very often, but when I do, I do it right.
I know I shouldn't be taking decongestants, but I'm not sure what TO take. Anyone have a favorite? I'm stuffed up, my sinuses are killing me, I have sore throat and a juicy cough. Yeah, I'm a mess.

I just suffered through a couple colds. All I took were ibuprofen, which kind of helped with the sore throat, and I drank lots of tea.

Honestly cold medicines are the worst for breastfeeding. I always use a neti pot to clear out the gunk, ibuprofen for any nasal swelling, and then lots of tea with honey and lemon for my throat.

I drank fenugreek tea both times I had a cold. I drank it at the first sign of sickness though, so I don't know how it works if you already have a lot of symptoms. Hope you feel better soon!

@BlueWolverine: I currently am on my 3rd cold since having R. Delsym will help with the cough but other then that there isn't anything you can do buy wait it out and try and get as much sleep as you can.

Yup, like some of the others I just toughed it out with Advil. Sorry you're sick!

Thanks, everyone. I just took some robitussin leftover from when I had bronchitis while pregnant (that was fun) and some ibuprofin. Hopefully my head will stop feeling like it's going to explode soon.
