So when we do photos, it's always outside, natural light, blah blah, but DD1 has preschool photos tomorrow and I'm not sure what to put her in! We skipped them in the spring because I tend to think they're cheesy, but I'm also biased as a photographer and realized these pictures are also always funny to look back on so we're going to participate this time. Only I have no clue what the background will be or if her legs will show, but I'm thinking because these kids are all 2-4.5 it's just gonna be a heads and shoulders kinda pic.

So what have been your wins with school photos and not really knowing what the backdrop is going to be? Neutrals? Bright colors? I'm thinking no patterns, right? You would think I'd have a clue, but we've never done "studio" portraits!
