Do you have a local photo store? They often have 1 hour printing and the quality is way better than any of those places you listed.

I've done Target and Costco and Costco's photo printing is really great for the price. I was so surprised when I saw the quality because it's the best I've seen from a 1 hour printing place. But it might not work for you if you don't plan on getting a membership because you need to type your member number in online when submitting the order.

Target's quality is fine...Costco is just better IMO

I second blackbird's suggestion to find a local photo shop. I haven't seen costco/sams club so I can't speak for them-- but target/walmart/cvs/etc are really bad. I actually got a photo printed at target this weekend because I thought maybe my memory was fuzzy and they weren't that bad (and I only needed one 4x6 and didn't feel like waiting for adoramapix). It was so bad. I'm re-ordering from adorama.

I needed pics for my son's birthday party as well and went to Walgreens. They looked pretty bad, no where near the quality I get from adoramapix. I have heard the machines at the retail stores are all pretty much the same but there is some skill needed by the photo tech and how well the machine is calibrated. If I had to do it again I'd definitely try a local lab.

I did Target once and it was nice! Uploaded online and went to pick them up later on in the day.

Whenever I need photos asap I upload to shutterfly and have them send the print job to target (they also partner up with walgreens an cvs). Prints are always ready within an hour and are decent quality.
