I'm looking for a first hand recommendation for an ear or forehead thermometer. I know rectal is the most accurate, but my baby is a sweaty beast and it's summer so I get really paranoid about him having a fever when he is almost certainly 100% fine. So I'd like an easy way to take his temperature that is non invasive so I only take his temp rectally when it is really necessary and not to calm my new mama fears. I started researching on amazon and got completely flummoxed. What do you own and love? Bonus points for links! Thanks in advance!

I have this one and really don't like it! I just always question if it is accurate. I was used to using a thermometer under his arm in the NICU so I just did that. But I would love a more reliable easy one!

Just bought that Braun thermoscan at target and I love it. My thermometer hating guy doesn't even mind it. It's practically instant and seems very accurate.

We have an ear thermometer and the temporal thermometer: http://m.target.com/p/exergen-temporal-scanner-infrared-thermometer/-/A-13009184. I honestly question both so it helps to have both to cross reference.
That said, I definitely prefer the temporal thermometer. It's the only one he'll sleep through, and I feel like it's pretty accurate. If I ever question it, I'll just take my own normal temperature to confirm its working right.
We've bought three of the temporal - 2 at our house and 1 at my parents. Definitely keep it away from little hands - our first one got busted due to being dropped.

I like our exergen temporal artery one. It's always right on with what the doctors office says.
