Costa Rica - to the Pacuare Lodge.

It's the most amazing 5***** Eco-resort nestled in the rainforest. You have to white water raft to get in and out....there's no power so the guides come and light your suites with candles while you are at dinner... The food is all locally sourced fresh fruits, veggies and meat.... Each suite has their own infinity pool , indoor/outdoor shower ... There are no walls (you're screened in) so you fall asleep listening to howler monkeys.

It's the coolest and most luxurious place I've ever been to. I could go on and on! I really hope to go back for our 10 year anniversary.

Our Eurotrip - England,France,Italy,Switzerland,Germany, Belgium and Amsterdam! It was the perfect pre-kids vacation.

This is hard! Hawaii was our first big trip together when we were dating and was where we realized we were really marriage material. New Zealand and Australia was our first very extended (4 week) vacation and just an amazing adventure. Peru tops the list too since we hiked the Inca Trail and that was just such an accomplishment for me. Iceland is one of our favorites too for its natural beauty.

Hmm, I have to say I've enjoyed all my trips with my husband. Recent trips the past three years were awesome though, only cuz we didn't have a resident budget. Grand cayman, Greece, Italy, Aruba.

Our trip to Italy was amazing! Even better than our honeymoon in Paris!

@QueensBee: OMG no way!!! Wasn't it the most amazing place ever??? The rafting freaked me out but I would brave it again if it meant I could be chilling on that balcony listening to the rainforest. It was just named one of National Geographic's best unique lodges in the world !

Hawaii. Easy nonstop flight from CA, amazing food, warm water, no pressure to DO anything because it wasn't some once in a lifetime exotic location, and so relaxing.

France - Nice and Paris!

We've been a lot of little places and two big ones. I can't pick between the big ones though because they were so different. We spent a week at an all-inclusive in Jamaica, and it was beautiful and relaxing and amazing. Then the other was two weeks in Europe (Paris, Edinburgh, and London). It was SO fun, but we were going the whole time so it was definitely not relaxing. But we loved it!

i loved our honeymoon! we were gifted a lot toward things on our honeymoon (fancy dinners, spa day, excursions, photo shoot, etc) and it was so nice to go on a trip where i wasn't stressed about what we were spending. although i got bit by a monkey & that kind of sucked, other than that, i loved everything about that trip!

my best trip with DH was our destination wedding to Jamaica, especially the last 4 days where we went off to a couples resort by ourselves for a separate honeymoon. we got pregnant shortly after and before that we were both grad students, so our trips together were mostly camping and little cottage getaways.

We haven't taken many vacations together and have only been out of state together once! But a few months before we got pregnant with LO we went to Gruene/San Antonio/New Branfuels with a group of friends for a week and had a blast. We actually went because a friend was supposed to get married but the wedding got canceled but we all still went and stayed in this gorgeous house right on the river and we went kayaking and shopping and met and became friends with several awesome members of our friends family. We really had a wonderful time.

Yes, I've enjoyed all of our trips! Honeymoon to Fiji was definitely amazing, but my absolute favorite was to Seattle and the San Juan Islands!

Our pre-wedding moon to New Zealand was pretty darn awesome! But so was our babymoon to Vanuatu, and our trip to Portugal where we got engaged. And of course our trip to China, but we met on that trip so I don't know if that really counts....

We went to an all-inclusive resort in Playa del Carmen for our honeymoon. It was fantastic! My husband rarely takes time off work, so it was great for the relaxation. We may go back this year for a babymoon, we'll see.

We've had 3 really great trips and they were all totally different, so I can't choose between them.

1) We drove from Texas to California, stopping in Albuquerque and Santa Fe, NM; Flagstaff AZ, Los Angeles...then up highway 1 camping and going to all the fun place like Solvang, Santa Barbara, Phfeiffer beach, that one waterfall I can't remember the name of, Monterrey, and then San Francisco and Oakland for a few days.

Then back home---2 weeks in all and WONDERFUL. We had a blast together and that was the year we were dating.

2) the year we got engaged, we took a trip to some lesser-known parts of Mexico. We flew into Veracruz and explored all around Veracruz and the beaches, then went up to Xalapa (magical, magical place) and Papantla to see the ruins. Another amazing trip.

3) All inclusive in DR when I was pregnant--that one was great because we just did NOTHING for 5 straight days--we just lounged, ate, and drank (well, that was DH). Very relaxing.

We flew into Nashville stayed a few days, road tripped to New Orleans, stayed another 4 days, then drove to Austin and stayed a few more days then flew home to Portland. It was about 12 days total, we also stayed in Jackson and Houston along the way. We drove about 1,700 miles. We fondly refer to it as our food tour of the South, it was for our 5 year anniversary. It was an awesome way to see a good chunk of the U.S. we had never been to. We have been to Hawaii and Mexico a lot over the years and those trips seem to run together, but this trip was so memorable.

The Bahamas was fun because we'd only been together for a couple of months and everything was new and exciting, we got to know each other better, and have some fun new experiences together, but neither of us would go back-- there wasn't a whole lot to do outside the resort, besides snorkel, swim and lay on the beach. Fun, but not for more than a few days. Going to Japan with his family, to visit family, was by far the most fun trip! We went so many places, saw and learned so many things, connected with his family, and there was still so much left to do by the time we had to leave. We'd love to go back with our girls when they're a bit older.
