DH has a few more tickets and more accidents than me.
He has a flashy car and he is more agressive but he drives slower than me. I'm more of a defensive driver who speeds when I can (on highways).

My husband has gotten more tickets, but only while he's working. He got pulled over in Ohio for going with traffic (they were going 75 in a 65 I think). He's pretty sure it's because he was driving a big truck with out of state tags. I've never had a ticket. *knocks on wood*

Def DH! I've had two accidents, no tickets. DH has had multiples of both. He has really improved since we got married. For him he was definitely part of the statistic of reckless drivers under age 25! Around 25 is when he started being more responsible

Hmm probably tied on accidents (but he has more that were his fault), and def me more on tickets... I haven't had one in years, but I'd had 4 by age 20... Definitely was a careless teen driver

No speeding tickets for either of us. He got a hands free violation while I was on the phone with him. He had been using speaker but I couldn't hear him and bugged him to switch to handheld, he was pulled over within seconds of switching. I felt awful!
Neither of us has caused an accident, but I was rear ended while parked once.

DH has 1 speeding ticket, I have none. I do have two accidents though (only one was my fault though, lol!) and DH has none.

No tickets for either of us.
DH has been the cause for 2 accidents though (1 was really the other ladies fault b/c he was younger & she was older so the officer never actually heard his side of what happened & put him at fault). I've been in one accident, I was rear ended though & not at fault.

We are tied on tickets. I've been in more accidents. He's been in one. I've been in four! I wasn't at fault for any. I was rear ended, side swiped twice, and my car was hit while it was parked and I was inside a store.
Oh, and I was in an accident while riding with my friend once. She spun out on a dirt road and we went into a ditch. That was so scary.

DH wins on tickets between the two of us. He's gotten numerous parking tickets. He's been booted twice by the city of Chicago. One of the bootings was at O'Hare airport parking, returning from seeing the inlaws. 80's degrees in an airport parking with an 8 month old infant at the time.
I got a speeding ticket at 16 years old. That's my only one.

We have the same amount of tickets, 1 each. I outbeat him in car accidents. I have gotten into 3 and he's gotten into 1 (he was rear ended).

Me on both accounts! He is much better at paying attention. I also drive more than him.

I've had one ticket and I'm not sure if he's had any tickets. I've never been in an accident and he's been in 1 that totaled his car and 2 minor ones. He's a very careful driver though.

DH for tickets, we're tied for accidents. Neither of us have been in an accident with another car, but we've both bumped into the same amount of stuff. He's hit a curb (he used to have a really low car) and backed a trailer or two into his truck. I've hit a fire hydrant and my friends parked truck.

He definitely has more tickets (I'm not sure how many, exactly), but I think I have had more accidents.
I've had two speeding tickets, one was dismissed and one was reduced.
However...I have a slight tendency to hit inanimate objects...I hit a fence, an electric pole, the side of the garage...I've also been rear-ended by a garbage truck, rear-ended someone else, had my car backed up into twice in parking lots, and most recently had my car sideswiped while parked on the street.
I have bad car luck...

I probably have more accidents (i tend to hit objects at a standstill) and have been rear ended 3 times in my last car! (once was twice in 2 weeks!) But he has way, way more tickets.

I've never been in accident, the husband almost completely wrecked his truck right after high school. I'd take tickets over flipping a car, any day! (:

Crap! DH was rear ended just now. (I wasn't in the car. he was driving to pick me up.) He's fine and it doesn't look like there is much damage, but still! Not going to post threads about accidents anymore.

My husband for both - but I only started driving regularly about a year ago, so it's not really a fair fight!

@winniebee: @MrsKoala: @Giraffe: Yeah, he's fine. Shook up about it but fine. The damage appears to just be some scuffs and small dent on his bumper. The girl who hit him was really sorry and so I'm sure the insurance will take care of it.

I've only had 1 ticket ever. DH had a few before he became a cop. Now he doesn't get any tickets. I've been in one accident where I've been driving (it was my first time ever driving a car). DH has been in 3 accidents but 2 of them were on duty when people failed to yield to the lights and sirens. Luckily, none of them involved serious injuries.

I have had one ticket ever and it was not a "moving violation" he has had 4 "moving violation" tickets, and was a point away from losing his license. I am definitely the aggressive driver but I don't really get caught doing "bad" things I guess? For some reason about 4 months ago DH turned into a really bad driver....I've cried probably 3 times because he has gotten so close to getting us into an accident.....he never pays attention anymore! I get so upset.

Oh definitely me! I've had 5 accidents, one speeding ticket, and one running a red light ticket. I believe he's been in only 2 accidents, one which wasn't his fault. To be fair though, 3 of my accidents were when I was 16. I should NOT have been given a license then.
