I got a bfp today. I used a clear blue digital and it said I'm 3+ weeks along. I've been having cramping for about 3 weeks now. It was worse in the beginning but still noticing it. Sometimes it feels like sharp pains and it's mostly just on my right side. Sometimes if I get up after laying down I feel a sharp pain/pulling feeling on the right side also or if I sneeze. I'm wondering if this is all normal? Or if I should be worried about something serious going on like a ectopic pregnancy....

Congrats!! That sounds normal. But you can always call your OB for peace of mind. I had some pretty bad cramping until 8-9 weeks with each pregnancy. From my understanding, ectopic pregnancies are extremely painful not on and off cramping.

Congrats! I don't think you have anything to worry about but just incase you should call your ob Monday and tell them you're concerned about one sided pain and would like to come in right away. I had a suspected ectopic last year. We weren't trying and I was breastfeeding so I was completely surprised and right after I took a test I started to feel sharp one sided pain. I knew it wasn't the same type of pain I had with my daughter so I called my ob and insisted on coming in right away. I got in for a u/s a couple of days later and they couldn't see anything and my hcg levels were hovering. The sooner you find out the better with ectopics.
BUT..the way you are describing your pain does not sound like ectopic pain. It sounds more like ligament pain which is totally normal at this stage and I have had ligament pain on one side only when I pregnant with LO. So please don't stress too much about it because it sounds like normal pregnancy stuff.

Google round ligament pain. That sounds like what you've got but tell your OB for sure! Congrats

Congrats! All sound very normal to me. But doesn't hurt to you're ob if you're at all concerned.

I had this from very early on in pregnancy too - it was round ligament pain! Worst was when I rolled over in bed or sat up/laid down too fast! LO is now 13 months old!

@hocuspocus: Congratulations! I'm newly pregnant too and I have been having twinges, pulling, cramping, etc. I made the mistake of googling too and I have realized that I just need to stop. I think it's normal!

@hocuspocus: Congrats on your BFP! I had to comment on your thread because I also had pain in early pregnancy and it sounds similar to yours. I had these sharp stabbing pains and pulling that would come out of nowhere and take my breath away for like 30 seconds. It felt like something HAD to be wrong, it hurt so badly.
In the end, it was all fine! It did get me several extra peeks at my baby so the doctor could just confirm everything was fine. It's worth calling your OB-GYN to tell them what's going on. You might get a peek at baby and some reassurance that everything is OK.

google can be quite a scary place ! Lol I'm starting to feel better about it now, it's not getting worse and not too painful. I've decided to stay away from googling symptoms lol.

@hellobeeboston I think that might have been it. I've been so thirsty lately. I've been trying to drink a lot more water and it's gotten much better.
