Anyone else here fans of Big Brother?
I've been hooked for years and look forward to watching it every summer! I watch live feeds when I can, and follow a blog that updates about what happens on the live feeds numerous times a day!
I thought maybe we could have a BB thread (like the Bachelorette thread) where we can talk about the show all summer long. Any other fellow addicts want to join?

I do, I love it! I don't watch the feeds but I follow the blogs to know what's going on! I feel like they edit way too much for the TV you miss out on who a lot of them really are!

@Mrs.KMM: My FAVORITE show!!! I want to BE on it someday, and have actually been to a live show (and live nowhere near LA), so yeah, I *might* just be a super fan LOL! So I'll discuss with you. I don't have live feeds, but I follow the live feed forums on a reality TV forum I like to frequent.
What do you think of the season so far?!

I love Big Brother! I'm out of town with family so I haven't watched any of the new season yet.

@LuLu Mom: Yes! They edit out so much. I feel like if you aren't following the feeds (either the actual feeds or a blog/forum type thing) that you miss out on so much of what is actually happening behind the scenes.
@mrscobee: I haven't watched any feeds yet, but I have watched both episodes and done some blog reading. I'm intrigued with the twins twist – I didn't watch way back when they did it once before. Audrey seems to be playing a bit too hard too fast. I hope it doesn't come back to bite her! And while I love Amazing Race, I don't know that Jeff and Jackie are the past contestants I would choose to see on BB.

I love Big Brother but I'm not sure about this Big Brother Takeover twist. In past seasons, I've kind of side eyed some of the timing and outcomes of Pandora's Box, almost feeling like the producers are rigging it at times. I worry that the takeover twist might just give the producers way too much control. Maybe I'm overthinking it but that was my knee jerk reaction to the little snippet they've revealed thus far., since they said it's something different each week.

@Applesandbananas: To play devil's advocate (although I completely agree with you on Pandora's Box) I *think* I will like it because I hope it prevents one giant alliance to just rule the house all summer like last year, it so boring when they do a "super" 8 alliance. by having these random takeovers it will hopefully throw enough curveballs that alliances don't have all the control.
Anyone else completely unimpressed with this season's cast? I find myself not impressed with anyone, they all seem really annoying like they are trying to BE other people who have been on the show? Or that they cast people so similar to other people in recent seasons? And what happened to having ALL different types of people? Now it's all single 20 somethings...and the old people are now the 30 year olds (gasp.) Seriously give me less showmance potential and more diversity!

@Smurfette: My husband's like "who don't you like" and my response was "maybe I should tell you the few I MIGHT end up liking this season it will be a shorter answer!"
So far, even though it's super early: the only couple that don't completely annoy me are Clay, James, and Vanessa (I think that's her name the poker player.)

@LuLu Mom: Amen! I wish they would cast some old people. 30 is NOT old! Where are the 50s and 60s? And almost everyone on this cast is single! So annoying. Just because they have a black person, a transgender person, an Asian person, and a couple of gay people does not mean the cast is diverse. They are all young, relatively good looking, and single. Why can't casting figure that out? I wish the would focus more on smarts and diversity rather than looks! This is why I have recently like Survivor better. They tend to cast at least a few from the older crowd, which tends to shake things up a bit.

@mrscobee: AGREED! I miss when it wasn't about hot bodies in a swimsuit it was about the brains, now when there is an "old" person they are always a target right away because they stand out. I feel like every since Jeff & Jordan they want to make another couple like that, but I think the best part of their relationship is it just happened it wasn't forced, quit trying to force it!

@LuLu Mom: Totally agree. They've definitely started type-casting and the "type" is all young and decently good looking. And it's like they have categories they try to fill every year: CA surfer dude (Jace), semi-nerd (Steve), NY/NJ with strong accent (Jason), etc.

Is anyone else watching? I think Vanessa is the best at strategy but I'm concerned she is too big a threat.

I'm watching! Love BB! I don't watch the live feeds, what blogs do you read to keep up with what is going on behind the scenes? I've got lots of time to read during these evening cluster feeds!
