2 great vaginal experiences! and easy recoveries.
12 hours from start to finish with my first. 4 hours with my 2nd!

I don't think I fit into any of those categories. My experience wasn't great or terrible. It was pretty difficult but I have heard worse stories.

My experience, being a termination, isn't really the same, but I did labor and deliver, so I figure I'm allowed to vote. The experience was terrible, but mostly because of the narcotic painkillers I was on (which I don't react well to and will never, ever take again) and the pitocin making the contractions one on top of the other. But recovery was a breeze. It kinda hurt to pee for the first few times, and that was it. Like I said, it wasn't exactly the same, but I was really surprised at how easy the recovery was.

Also, all that stuff they say about post-birth hormones making you happy is totally true. I had just been through the worst week of my life, culminating in the most physically painful thing I'd ever done, and I was super chipper and cheery for the whole rest of the day. It was bizarre.

Vaginal birth, positive experience and no issues with recovery.

Vaginal birth. Positive experience and positive recovery. I was induced at 41 weeks and had an epidural. Everything went very well, although there was a lot of waiting. Pushed for about 50 minutes. I had one second degree tear, and recovery went pretty smoothly. Within 2 weeks I felt completely back to normal.

I voted c-section, negative experience, positive recovery, but I want to clarify that while my experience was not great, it wasn't because of the type of birth. My boys were taken to the NICU right away and that colored everything about the experience, but the surgery itself wasn't bad at all.

I chose unplanned c/s and it was positive with a positive recovery. However, the 36 hours of labor leading up to the c/s was not what I'd call positive. Frustrating, exhausting, scary. I still chose positive c/s because the c/s itself was quick, easy and I wish I'd asked for it a lot sooner instead of waiting until there was no other option.

i had a positive unplanned c-section and recovery. then i had a positive vbac, but the recover was way harder because olive had to stay an extra week in the hospital, and i had to walk back and forth from a hotel. would have just been easier if i had had a c-section because then i would have been able to stay in the hospital!

D: vaginal, easy labor, easy recovery.

S: horrible experience. Vaginal. Rough recovery.

M: elective c section. Easy peasy.

I voted unplanned c section: negative experience, positive recovery. I wanted to clarify that the reason it was a negative experience was because I had pre-eclampsia, was on magnesium for 4 days, ended up having my son at 27 weeks, he was sent immediately to the NICU and I didn't see him for hours. So, under a normal circumstance I don't know how bad a c section would be. My recovery was fairly easy. Much much easier than I anticipated.

Vaginal with twins, overall very good experience. The birth was much easier than I thought it would be and the recovery was also a lot easier than I expected. That's with tearing in a couple places. My girls went immediately to the NICU but I had prepared myself for that so it didn't color my experience.

Vaginal with twins. Would have liked a bit of a different experience, but it was still good even though I didn't get to walk around or do skin to skin right away (which was my own fault, I was too overwhelmed). Easy recovery- I felt like myself after about 4 days.

I voted positive Vaginal delivery and negative recovery.

Although, I don't necessarily think my deliver was super positive. There were a lot of complications, including being premature. I guess, it just turned out well and physically it didn't pain me much or anything.

My recovery, though, was terrible. It's what scares me most about any future child.

2 very quick (8hrs with first, 4hrs with second) positive vaginal births (both by induction). I said positive recovery for both and overall that was true although I developed an infection at my episiotomy site with my second which wasn't that pleasant.

I wouldn't say my experiences were strictly positive or negative. I had a forceps delivery with episiotomy after 40 hours in active labour and 3 days of latent labour. I was exhausted after no sleep and my contractions were getting weaker so I ended up getting something I didn't think I'd need: spinal anaesthetic! Recovery has been ok but I'm still too scared to attemp sex...

I had an uncomplicated vaginal delivery but I tore a bit so recovery wasn't pleasant. I think most times you squeeze a watermelon out of your who-ha, you will need time to recover and it won't be fun. It wasn't unexpected that I would hurt for a couple of weeks, but it wasn't horrific or anything. It was a positive experience overall.

I had an unplanned c-section (not totally emergent but baby needed OUT quickly). The labor went well, needing a c section sucked but recovery was great! So overall, everything was positive.
