My DD is turning three, whoohoo! I have zero birthday gift ideas for her. What does your LO love at 3 years old?

When M turned 3 last year we got her a bike. Her bday is right before Xmas so she also got princess dresses and items for her kitchen. Also Legos and puzzles are a big hit for her.

DD just turned 3 and her big gift was a dollhouse with some dolls and furniture. We actually haven't assembled it yet (she just got it yesterday) but I'm hoping it's a hit! Some of her other favorites right now are magnatiles, simple board games (we have Sneaky Squirrel, Candyland, and various memory games), play-doh, and puzzles.

DS is turning 3 next month, and we're planning on getting him a big Bruder truck... he's a tad truck obsessed. For DS1 we bought him a Strider balance bike and a few Thomas trains. Magnatiles are also great for this age!

At three, my daughter loved princess stuff. She loved princess shoes and dresses. Any art stuff was good too. They love the leap reader (but they love books to begin with). O yeah, they both got like 12" bikes or so. Still riding it at 4.5 years.

My kid loved magic clips at 3. She still plays with them and she's 4.5. So well worth the investment. Playdoh, goop/slime, was also a hit. On a more educational note, magnatiles, counting fruit and puzzles.

I agree that if you don't have Magnatiles, they are definitely LO's favorite toy!
We are doing a fish tank for her birthday this year because we have so many toys and she will be getting a lot more for Christmas which is around the corner.

My 3 year old loves his scooter, dress up clothes, books, play doh, trains, cars, remote control cars, and puzzles (he can handle 20+ pieces).

I'm thinking about magnatiles also. But either for bday or Christmas I want to get her an apron to wear when helping me in the kitchen (she loves to help!) and a baby doll carrier so she can wear her babies like I'll be wearing brother shortly.

My DD turns 3 in about 6 weeks and I still don't have any ideas!
@catlady: does she play with the dollhouse yet? I have been eyeing a dollhouse for my almost 3yo for some time and I just don't think she would be interested in it yet. Maybe for her 4th.

@lamariniere: We haven't built it yet (because I was too lazy last night) but she was playing with the little dolls that came with it this morning. If I remember, I'll update in a few days.

My DD's 3rd birthday is right before Christmas so I'm not sure which gifts will be for which occasion, but we're planning to get her:
Calico Critters dollhouse and a couple more animal families (she has a couple animals already that she loves and calls her babies)
Child-sized guitar or ukulele
Kids' camera
Tickets to the Nutcracker (she's ballet-obsessed and really wants to go, I'm not sure she'll last through the whole thing but we'll see how it goes) -
