It feels too late for donuts and cake! What should I have on hand? It's for a bunch of 4 year olds.

Little sandwiches, fruit, and snack crackers/chips or pizza and fruit and veggies.

I'd go with either little sandwiches
Or bagels and assorted smears

We had that slot for a party at a play place. I was similarly stumped so I asked the play place. They said everyone does pizza and cake even at that time. DH called Dominos a few days before the party and explained the situation. They were able to have our pizzas ready at 11 I think. He popped over to pick them up. Like the play place said nobody batted an eye at pizza at 11. We had fruit and veggies before that for snacking.

Pizza or sandwiches. Definitely something that qualifies as a real lunch.

That's brunch time so anything from typical breakfast fare to lunch food (but lean towards breakfast since it's before noon). We did a brunch birthday for my 3 year old and had a build your own bagel bar with different spreads, lox, cold cuts, cheeses, and veggies. Lots of fresh fruit and berries and mini breakfast pastries.

Fruits, maybe chicken nuggets? And also went to a party at this time where they brought those PBJ Smuckers Uncrustables.

I would do something that qualifies as lunch, like others have suggested.
If we went to a morning party for 4yos, I would definitely put my kid down for a nap as soon as we got back home, so I wouldn't want to have to feed her lunch.

Is your lunch slot at the beginning or end of the party? At the beginning I'd do bagels/fruit, at the end I'd do pizza.

@bhbee: I think I'll get a CFA nugget tray!!!
It's at a painting place and not at my house, so I'm not doing a big spread. Parents don't stay either because it's kind of a tiny place.
Thanks for the ideas--I think I'll do a nugget tray, juice/water and fruit + cake.

I know you said you are doing a nugget tray, but the one party we've been to that is at a painting place, they served half sandwiches. There was peanut butter and jelly and another option, I can't remember. I thought that was great, because it could be served room temperature.
