Anyone hear about newer cars having black boxes?
They can tell you if you were wearing your seat belt, how fast you were going and other details before the crash.
I don't mind it. I think it's good to have all the details if I were involved in an accident.
DH is really uncomfortable by it. He thinks it's an invasion of privacy.

I think it's a great idea...this way you don't have to rely on witnesses.
I can also see why it could be viewed as an invasion of privacy to some, but in my opinion, when you drive on public roads, you give that up.

@bluestriped bee: I think its a good thing because this way it can be determined if the issue is a mechanical failure rather than just poor driving or some other user error. I don't see it as an invasion of privacy at all. I always wear my seatbelt and since having LO I stick to the speed limit so I dont have much to hide

I don't have anything to hide - i follow the laws, wear seat belts, don't speed, etc. but I still find that a little creepy..

I think it's a tad creepy but it could hold people accountable for their actions!
