Do you have a waterproof cover for the boppy? Is is necessary? Do you use it and then another cover it so it looks cute?

We did not get one, but I wanted one. I would have put it on, and put a cute cover over it.

I bought one the other week ONLY because it was on sale at Target for $5.48 clearance. I plan to put it on, then the cute cover over it. I can imagine that it might get hot and sweaty though in the summer so we'll see...

@Smurfette: I wish I had gotten it. I haven't used my Boppy since LO threw up for the first time (not spit up) but full on projectile vomit all over the Boppy and it seeped into the pillow

SO WORTH IT! After one huge blowout diaper, I was so glad we bought this to put under the cover. It saved the pillow and when I washed it right away, the stains came right out.

I also got one on clearance at Target- seemed like a good deal for something that could save my $30 pillow! We put a cover over it, also.

Nope I have two cute covers I made. I use a swaddle blanket under his head that catches any leakage and is easy to wash - otherwise I've only once had a leak on the pillow and I threw it and the cover I to the washer and dryer.

@mrsjazz: Can you not wash the whole Boppy in the washer & dryer?

@shopaholic: This is going to sound dumb, but I honestly didn't even think of that! We shoved it in a bag, it was so gross. I was just going to trash it. Guess I'll throw it in the wash tomorrow, d'oh!

No, I only had two regular covers.

@mrsjazz: No - not dumb! I was seriously going to post this question on the weekend. Not sure if & when I should wash our new Boppy before packing it in my hospital bag!
